Das Camp Gecko Private Nature Reserve & Tented Camp befindet sich an der D1275 direkt unter dem Spreetshoogte Pass. Die Unterbringung im Camp Gecko erfolgt in Buschzelten, einem geschichtsträchtigen Buschversteck und einem selbstversorgenden Ferienhaus. Jedes Zelt hat eine Dusche und Toilette und das Camp stellt Bettwäsche und Handtücher zur Verfügung. Die Zelte sind nicht elektrisiert, aber das Licht wird von Petroleumlampen erzeugt und Kameras können im Farmhaus aufgeladen werden. Im Camp Gecko befindet sich eine Lapa, ein schöner Treffpunkt, der sich oberhalb der Buschzelte befindet. In der Lapa werden köstliche Gerichte serviert, während die Gäste beim Essen auf der Terrasse einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Savanne genießen können.

Nestled amidst beautiful rock formations of the Petrified Forest Area, Hais Ra Campsite is ideal for travellers wanting to immerse themselves in the farmland and explore the area. Activities include hiking and climbing, as well as boarding the sun and relaxing around the lodge swimming pool. The property is home to five tents, each equipped with a private ablution, as well as ten campsites. Guests can purchase braai packs from the properties lodge, or enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast and dinner.

Join us on a guided visit to the Omapaha Himba Village and discover the customs and lifestyle of
the Ovahimba Tribe. This Village was established to conserve the Himba Culture and Traditions.
Omapaha is not a show village, nor a human zoo. It is a cultural exchange where people can
learn about these amazing nomadic people before their heritage become lost forever due to
the fact that the western world is evolving at the speed of light…
The people at the village currently take care of 15 orphaned children.
The funds generated by these tours are being used to take care of them and the families in the
village responsible for taking care of the orphans.

Several African Predators which were captured whilst endangering our neighbour’s livestock,
are housed at Farm Eldorado in this sanctuary.
They live in large camps and all the animals in the enclosures
are kept as close to their natural habitat as possible.
A veterinarian visits them regularly to weigh them and look at the condition of their skin, hair
and teeth, and the money received for the Predator Sanctuary tours are used to feed and care
for these animals.

Die Waterberg Wilderness Lodge im Tal liegt auf der Farm Otjosongombe an der Südseite des Waterberges. Über einer großen, lichten Wiese am Ende des lang gestreckten Tales erhebt sich majestätisch das zerklüftete Waterberg Massiv.

Hier liegen die aus rotem Sandstein errichteten Häuschen der Waterberg Wilderness Lodge idyllisch inmitten einer uralten Gartenanlage. Wie etwa den offenen Pavillon. Die Waterberg Wilderness Lodge verfügt über neun geräumige Zimmer, darunter zwei Familienzimmer. Jedes der geräumigen, individuell eingerichteten Zimmer hat Dusche / WC, eine Sitzecke sowie eine überdachte Veranda oder Terrasse mit Blick auf die Steilkante des Berges.

Die Gastgeber, Caroline und Joachim Rust, führen die Lodge in der familiären Atmosphäre einer Gästefarm und bieten eine sehr gute Farmküche aus frischen, teilweise selbst angebauten Farmprodukten.

Ein offener Gartenpavillon lädt zum Kaffeetrinken ein. Leseratten können sich in die kleine Bibliothek zurück ziehen, in der an kühlen Tagen der Kamin angezündet wird. Außerdem stehen Ihnen zwei Quellwasser-Schwimmbecken mit Liegewiese zur Verfügung. Nach Sonnenuntergang treffen Sie sich zur Einstimmung auf den Abend am Lagerfeuer oder am Kamin der Bar.
