Campi ya Kanzi

Campi ya Kanzi, meaning "Camp of the Hidden Treasure" in Swahili, emerges as a beacon of luxury eco-tourism within the Chyulu Hills of Southern Kenya, adjacent to Tsavo West National Park. This safari camp distinguishes itself in East Africa by offering private, professionally guided safaris that immerse guests in breathtaking landscapes, abundant wildlife, and the authentic Maasai culture. A pioneer in the eco-tourism sector, the camp has garnered numerous accolades, including the Tourism for Tomorrow Award, the Eco-Warrior Award, and the Condè Nast World Savers Award, alongside being the inaugural recipient of a Gold Eco-Rating from Ecotourism Kenya and achieving accreditation as a Global Ecosphere Retreat.

Uniquely positioned, Campi ya Kanzi allows guests the rare opportunity to walk and hike alongside wildlife, offering a profound connection to nature beyond the confines of a vehicle. Situated near, but not within national parks, the camp presents unrestricted access to the region's wildlife while avoiding the limitations of park boundaries. The camp provides a range of activities including horseback riding, scenic airplane flights.

The exclusivity of Campi ya Kanzi is unparalleled, being the solitary safari camp across four hundred square miles of wilderness, ensuring an intimate experience for its guests. It accommodates up to sixteen guests in six luxury tented cottages and two luxury tented suites, offering full board with a blend of Italian and African cuisines, prepared by skilled chefs.

Campi ya Kanzi is deeply committed to regenerative tourism and community support, employing seventy Kenyans and collaborating closely with the Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust. This partnership focuses on conservation, education, and health services within the Kuku Group Ranch. The camp is a model of sustainability, utilizing rainwater collection, solar power, solar heating, and recycling of gray and black water among other eco-friendly practices.

Hiking or game driving in EVs in the Chyulu Hills, in front of Kilimanjaro, with a local professional Maasai guide, is the ultimate safari experience.
