Here, we visit a traditional workshop to observe how these pieces are shaped and painted by hand, and to understand the cultural meaning they hold for local families. Pucará is also the cradle of the ancient Pukará culture. Its small lithic museum reveals monoliths, ceremonial sculptures, and fragments that speak to one of the region’s earliest civilizations. Nearby, the quiet Church of Santa Isabel reflects the subtle meeting of Andean and colonial traditions. An authentic encounter with heritage, craftsmanship, and the everyday rhythm of a highland town.
