Lirio Lodge is a charming lodge located in Barra de Pacuare, the most virgin sector of the Tortuguero canals, in the Caribbean of Costa Rica. It is located directly in front of the Madre de Di-os Lagoon, an extensive and unspoiled natural canal, surrounded by tropical rainforest, and separated from the sea by only a narrow peninsula of virgin and intact tropical jungle, the famous Pacuare Reserve.

Surrounded by three Sea Turtle conservation projects, a 2400 hectares of Biological Reserve and a labyrinth of rivers and swamps, Lirio Lodge offers different packages with boat transport, guided excursion, contact with local people and labour of the wildlife protection organizations, and a special and unique tropical architecture.

The flora and fauna in the area is rich, wonderful and unique, presenting several species in danger of extinction, such as several sea turtle species, like the Green turtle, the Carey turtle, the Leatherback turtle, as well as mammals and birds as rare as the Jaguar as well as the Tapir, and one of the rarest birds the beautiful Agami Storch.
