Bolivia Cast & Blast Trip 2024

Introduction

Thanks for choosing Trek Safaris as your agent to organize your Bolivia Cast and Blast trip. Your trip is a nine day and eight night adventure with three days of peacock bass fishing and three days of high volume dove shooting. You will have three nights accommodations at the Cano Negro fishing Lodge and Las Palomas dove Lodge with all meals and bar at the lodges covered.

Air Boliviana  is our airline of choice and currently departs Miami about 10:30pm and arrives into Santa Cruz, Bolivia the next morning about 6:00am. Upon arrival into Santa Cruz, you will clear customs and immigrations. Jorge Molina or one of his staff will meet you to provide transfer to the domestic airport for your charter flight to the Caño Negro fishing camp, a flight of just over two hours.  Any unneeded hunting gear will be transferred with your guns, again, allowing you to travel light.

Once you land at Cano Negro, get settled in and have lunch, you will head right out for the afternoon of fishing for peacocks and Payara. You will fish this afternoon and the two following days returning everyday at midday for a hot lunch, and a re-supply of beverages and gasoline.  After fishing your final morning, you will charter to Las Palomas Lodge and shoot this afternoon. After shooting full days on the next two, you will have your final afternoon shoot. After your final shoot, you will be transferred to Santa Cruz where you will enjoy your final evening before flying back to Miami the next morning. We will reserve your single, or double room for this final evening and you would just pay the hotel directly upon check in.

The Caño Negro camp has five double occupancy bungalows with air conditioning, via generator, and in cabin bathrooms complete with warm water showers. The compound has a separate dinning cabin and kitchen as well as a large building with a deck for gathering and sipping libations while you are not out fishing. Cells do not work at Cano Negro and there is minimal WiFi at this lodge, so, please enjoy the peace and quiet.

Las Palomas Lodge boasts twelve air-conditioned double bedrooms with full en suite bathrooms.Your cell phone will work here and so will your ipad as you have WiFi connectivity. Las Palomas has a good selection of 12, 20 and 28ga rental Benelli and Beretta semi autos, so, no need to lug your gun all over the place.
