Introduction

We thank you for choosing Trek Safaris as your agent in making all arrangements for your Guatemala bill fishing trip.  We have organized a five day and four night adventure with three full days of salt water action in the sail fishing capital of the world.

CLIMATE

The climate in Guatemala will be warm to hot during the day, but cool and comfortable in the evenings. December through May is considered to be the dry season, so rain would generally not be a concern. . Due to its higher elevation, the temperature in Guatemala City is 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the coast.

WHAT TO BRING

The weather, for the most part, is warm and sunny so plan on bringing lightweight cotton clothing, a hat, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, and any required personal items. Mosquitoes are normally not a problem, but it wouldn’t hurt to bring some repellent to have on hand in case the need arises. Please be sure to pack any needed medications in your carry-on.

All U. S. citizens must possess a valid U.S. passport with at least six months validity from the time of your return date on your scheduled trip. Non U.S. citizens should check with their consulates to verify required travel documents. Single parents traveling with minor children should have a notarized letter of authorization from the parent not traveling that they are aware that the child is out of the country.
