Depending on stops, the drive takes approximately 2.5–3 hours.

En route, we recommend a stop at Almenkerk Wine Estate, a boutique, family-owned winery known for its elegant wines and tranquil setting — an ideal place to stretch your legs and enjoy a tasting.

Continue onwards to the seaside town of Hermanus, famous for its relaxed coastal charm and, in season, some of the best land-based whale watching in the world. Lunch is recommended at one of the town’s excellent ocean-facing restaurants or cafés.

On arrival at Walvis Bay Airport, clear immigration and customs before collecting your new rental vehicle. From here, enjoy a short and scenic drive of approximately 30–40 minutes along the coast to the charming seaside town of Swakopmund, where the Atlantic Ocean meets the edge of the Namib Desert.

Arrive at Soul Season Unit 21 and check in. Take some time to settle in before heading out to experience one of the region’s signature adventures.

In the afternoon, a recommended Desert Explorers quad biking tour offers an exhilarating introduction to the Namib Desert (approximately 90 minutes). After breakfast, check out of GocheGanas Nature Reserve & Wellness Village and embark on your journey north. Self-drive to Hosea Kutako International Airport in Windhoek, where you will return your rental vehicle and check in for your flight to Maun International Airport, the gateway to Botswana’s Okavango Delta.

On arrival in Maun, clear immigration and meet your local guide, who will assist you to board a charter flight to Khwai River Airport. From the air, enjoy stunning aerial views of the delta’s intricate waterways, islands, and floodplains — a preview of the wildlife-rich landscapes that await.

At Khwai River Airport, you will be met and transferred to Sango Safari Camp, an intimate safari lodge nestled in the heart of the Khwai region. Check in and settle into your accommodation before preparing for your first taste of Okavango wildlife.

In the afternoon, embark on a planned Afternoon Game Drive with Sango Safari Camp. Traverse floodplains, savanna, and mopane woodlands while your guide searches for elephants, buffalo, lions, and a host of bird species. Begin the day with a guided bush walk at Setari Camp, a final opportunity to explore the Okavango Delta on foot. Accompanied by expert guides, learn more about animal tracking, smaller wildlife, and the intricate ecosystems that make this region so extraordinary.

After your morning activity, check out of Setari Camp and transfer to Jedibe Airstrip for your charter flight to Kasane Airport in Botswana. Enjoy scenic aerial views as the delta gives way to the open landscapes of northern Botswana.

On arrival at Kasane Airport, you will be met by a guide and transferred to the Kazungula Border Post. Here, complete border formalities as you cross into Zimbabwe. On the Zimbabwean side, another guide will be waiting to continue your journey to Sian Simba River Lodge, located within Zambezi National Park along the banks of the Zambezi River.

Arrive at the lodge and check in, taking time to settle into your riverside surroundings. In the afternoon, enjoy a planned sunset cruise on the Zambezi River with Sian Simba River Lodge. Drift along the river as the sun sets, watching elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife drawn to the water’s edge, all framed by the warm colors of the African sunset.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive at Sian Simba River Lodge, making the most of the cool hours to spot wildlife along the riverbanks and open plains of Zambezi National Park. After returning to the lodge, check out and begin your journey toward Victoria Falls.

En route, enjoy a planned lunch at Baines Restaurant, a well-known local spot offering relaxed dining in a scenic setting. After lunch, continue on to Victoria Falls town.

On arrival, enjoy a guided visit to Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya — “The Smoke That Thunders” — the falls offer an awe-inspiring display as the Zambezi River plunges into the Batoka Gorge. Your guide will lead you along the rainforest paths, sharing insight into the geology, history, and best viewpoints of this iconic site.

Following your visit, you will be transferred to Insika Lodge. Check in and take some time to freshen up and relax.

In the evening, transfer to the Dusty Road Township Experience for dinner. This engaging cultural experience offers a warm, authentic introduction to local life, combining traditional flavors, storytelling, and hospitality. After dinner, you will be transferred back to Insika Lodge for the night.
