Golden Africa Safaris: Best of Botswana and Victoria Falls

Upon arrival at Maun Airport you will be met by your private guide and / or a representative from Mack Air.  From here, you will transfer by light aircraft to an airstrip in the Moremi Game Reserve, approximately a 30 minute flight. The flight gives you the opportunity to take in the beautiful scenic view as you fly over parts of the Okavango Delta, and you never know what wildlife you may spot from the air! To note the airstrip in Moremi and exact flight time will depend on the camp-site. 

Once you land in Moremi, you will be met by your private Golden Africa Safaris open-sided game-viewer, which will transfer you to your private campsite in Moremi. 

You will arrive in time for afternoon tea and the rest of the day will follow according to how you feel after your journey to Botswana. You can choose to relax in camp and watch the sun go down with a cold drink or take your first game drive out to explore some of Moremi.

You have two full days to explore Moremi Game Reserve. Typically you will be woken up early for a light breakfast; the aim is to be out in the vehicle for sunrise maximising the opportunity to see the wildlife when they are at their most active. 

Arrival back into camp is usually around 11am when you will have a well-deserved brunch and a chance for a siesta, shower or to simply relax. At around 3.30 / 4pm tea and coffee will be available before you head out for your afternoon game drive. Depending on what sightings you come across, you will stop for sun-set drinks at a scenic point before heading back to camp for dinner.

All full days on safari will follow a similar structure to this.

For those wishing to explore the Okavango by other means, there is the option of a boat excursion for one of the days in Moremi. This must be booked in advance of travel and is water-level dependent. 

Today you will make your final departure from your camp in Moremi to start the next stage of your journey. Wake up and breakfast will be as per usual and the mornings game-drive will gradually make your way to Khwai Private Reserve.

You will arrive in time for brunch followed by a few hours to relax in your new home for the next three nights, before heading out on an afternoon game drive.

After a final breakfast at Jackal and Hide, you will head to Savuti by vehicle where you will find your familiar mobile camp, ready and waiting for you.

Today, after breakfast, you say good bye to your Golden Africa Safaris camp for the last time, as you head to the Linyanti region by light-aircraft. 

Upon arrival at the airstrip in the Linyanti you will be met by a representative from the Linyanti Bush Camp who will transfer you to camp in time for brunch. 

After being shown around camp, you will have the afternoon at leisure before setting out on your first safari activity to explore the Linyanti.

Today you say good bye to the Linyanti and Botswana as you travel north across the border to Zambia.

Upon arrival in Kasane you will need to go through immigration and enter into Zambia. You will then transfer by vehicle to The River Club located just outside of Livingstone, where you will be staying for three nights. 

A full day for exploring Victoria Falls, additional activities and relaxing!

Today after breakfast you will transfer to Livingstone Airport in time for your onward flight home.
