Located near to the Kalahari Anib Lodge in Mariental, Gondwana Collection Kalahari Anib Camping2Go is home to eight permanent tents, ideal for travellers who want the luxury of camping, without all the hassle. Each tent is equipt with four beds, an en-suite bathroom and a shower. Guests can make use of the campsites kitchen which is equipt with a fridge, stove, sink and necessary utensils. This Cape Dutch-style lodge is located just 20 km from the Fish River Canyon. The 28 en-suite rooms are beautifully integrated into the granite rock and offer beautiful views of the surrounding hills of Gondwana Canyon Park. Here, the history of the area's original inhabitants – the Bondelswart Nama – comes alive. Guests will experience the atmosphere of a semi-nomadic Nama village. The daily life of the Nama people has been captured in illustrations by Namibian artists in the restaurant and bungalows. Guests also have access to a swimming pool set in the granite rock and a restaurant with a thatched roof – both also offering unique views. It was established during the German colonial era as a farm by a member (Mr Hubert Hester) of the Schutztruppe/German Colonial Infantry. Later it became famous for its Karakul sheep breeding and currently cattle and goats are farmed here. The hotel forms part of the historic 11,000 ha Farm Helmeringhausen and is an ideal stop-over on the drive between Lüderitz and the Namib-Naukluft Park, Sossusvlei or Fish River Canyon.
