Safari Sisters: Three Countries, One Wild Adventure!

Elephant Valley Lodge lies between the Chobe National Park in Botswana and the Matetsi wildlife conservancy, south of the Kazangula border crossing and within the Kasane Forest Reserve.

The camp comprises of 20 'meru' style safari tents and can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests.
The lodge overlooks an extremely productive water hole.

Activities include daily safaris and boat cruises into the Chobe National Park. The unique lodge location provides guests with game viewing opportunities throughout the day and night. Lodge facilities also include open guest areas, a viewing platform and a new rim-flow swimming pool overlooking the water hole.

These powerful animals are commonly found in national parks and wildlife reserves across the country. Cape buffaloes are known for their unpredictable nature and strong herd instincts, making them one of Africa’s "Big Five" game animals and play a key role in the local ecosystem and are a major attraction for eco-tourism and wildlife safaris in Zimbabwe.

Zebra Credit: EJ Zebras are highly social and live in groups known as herds. These groups offer protection and social bonding. Zebras can run at speeds of up to 65 km/h (40 mph), helping them escape predators in the wild. As herbivores, zebras primarily feed on grasses, but they may also eat leaves, bark, and shrubs when grass is scarce.

They typically hunt during dawn and dusk, though they can be active throughout the day. Known for their strong pack structure, wild dogs exhibit remarkable cooperation—not just during hunts, but also in feeding. Like other canids, they regurgitate food for their young, but uniquely, they also feed adult pack members this way, reinforcing social bonds. Hierarchy at the Carcass: Interestingly, pups eat first at kills—unusual among carnivores and a sign of the species' pack-oriented care system.

It is also 1,708 meters (5,604 feet) wide, making it the largest curtain of falling water in the world. All guests can enjoy the use of two sparkling swimming pools, Free Wi-Fi covering the majority of the property, a vibrant river-side bar with Happy Hour Specials, an on-site activities booking center, a river-side restaurant with an unbeatable view of the Zambezi River and Livingstone’s favorite Peppino’s Pizza. The deck, bar, and restaurant overlook the spray from The Victoria Falls to your left and offer the best sunset views over the Zambezi River to your right. And when the river is low (July to December) you may see elephants crossing over from/to the island opposite.
