Chobe Savanna Lodge
The Chobe River is a vital ecological artery, shaping the land and wildlife along its banks. It draws elephants, guides predators, and sustains migratory birds, bringing life to floodplains, grasslands and riverine forests. Forming the natural boundary between Botswana’s Chobe National Park and Namibia’s Eastern Zambezi Region, the river places Chobe Savanna Lodge at the heart of a living frontier. From this vantage point, cradled by 270 degrees of water, you experience an ever-unfolding spectacle of movement and connection. Intimate, elemental and unforgettable.
The Lodge:
This is the beating heart of Chobe Savanna Lodge, where unforgettable adventure begins, and days unfold leisurely. Here, meals are shared in community (or privately, on request), time slows on multiple raised decks, and wildlife encounters begin without travelling far. With 180-degree elevated views of the surrounding wetlands, grasslands, and the Chobe River beyond, in-lodge game viewing is rewarding. Elephants, antelopes of various species, and prolific birdlife are known to roam and soar into full view, and guests have every platform to settle in and watch Mother Nature’s big screen. The main areas include various lounge pockets, which, like the dining areas and plentiful viewing decks, offer covered and open-air options.
The Suites:
The lodge has 13 safari chalets, two of which can be booked as an interleading safari chalet for guests travelling with family or company (2 connected safari chalets with two separate entrances). All, including the interleading safari option, are en suite, have private viewing decks, and can be configured as twin or double. Both the structure and design foster an indoor-outdoor experience that feels equally connected to the elements and cradled in comfort.
The Activities:
Inclusive scheduled activities depart twice daily, in the morning and afternoon, and offer deeper connection to the water-based environment surrounding Chobe Savanna Lodge. Activities include: motorboat safaris, skimmer boat cruises, catch-and-release fishing, and birding. Cultural excursions and day trips into Chobe National Park can be arranged on request.
The Experience:
The lodge is where days unfold with equal measures of anticipation and tranquillity—a balance maintained by Mother Nature, and our remarkable team of staff. Intimate, elemental and endlessly compelling. Come 16 May 2026, we’ll be waiting, with purpose and genuine joy, to once again welcome you to our place among the water. To Chobe Savanna Lodge.
*Please note that Chobe Savanna Lodge is accessed by boat for the final transfer, as its unique water-based setting does not allow for vehicle access. From your airport arrival to border crossings and departure, our team is with you every step of the way.
