Makubela/ Leadwood Suites (Luxury Suites)
The Makubela suites, named for a leopard once prowling the area, have amazing views over the bush from their private decks. The location of the suites away from the more public areas of the lodge, makes them especially tranquil and perfect for romance or a special occasion.
The Leadwood suite, also with its own private pool is equally tastefully decorated and magnificent. This suite is located a little closer to the main lodge buildings, also with premier views over the bush.
Each suite has its own well-stocked mini bar, coffee and tea station, bath, inside and revitalising outside showers, hairdryer, safe, air conditioning and wi-fi. Don’t worry about mosquitoes as nets cover all windows and doors as well as the beds themselves. You can’t help but relax in these sumptuous settings at Idube Game Reserve.

Suites each have a minibar, tea and coffee facilitities, safe, hairdryer, overhead fan, airconditioner, mosquito net and mosquito screens on windows. Rooms open up with sliding/ folding doors on 2 sides to a large wooden patio, into which is set a private pool. The view is all out to the bush beyond and the animals wandering freely across the clearing.
As part of the Makubela package, dinner can served at your suite. The lantern lit romantic dinner served on the private deck will add another unforgettable memory of your Idube holiday.
The name Makubela is a tribute to a female leopard seen many times by Idube guests over the years. She was fatally mauled by a male and she sought refuge at Idube, where she died. We remember how this beautiful creature added wonder and pleasure to our lives.
