During the wetter months, when water levels are suitable, you can drift silently by canoe along the Park’s seasonal waterways, paddling past pods of hippo, crocodiles, and prolific birdlife. It’s an intimate, peaceful way to experience the landscape. Boat safaris on Lake Urema are also possible when conditions allow, offering sweeping views of the floodplains and Mount Gorongosa in the distance.
