The Nyae Nyae Bushman Hiking Safari is one of WWS’s most remote and meaningful hiking experiences. Set in north-eastern Namibia, this route takes hikers through the Nyae Nyae Conservancy, across open pans, sandy tracks, ancient baobab landscapes and traditional San areas.

This hike is about more than distance. It is an opportunity to spend time in a landscape shaped by generations of San knowledge, while walking with local guides who share their understanding of plants, animal tracks, water sources and life in this extraordinary part of Namibia.

The Wüstenquell Geological Hiking Safari is a fascinating journey through a private 6 000-hectare conservation farm bordering the Namib-Naukluft Park. This route is ideal for hikers who enjoy unusual landscapes, geological features and a more moderate hiking experience.

The trail moves through open plains, granite valleys, dry riverbeds and striking rock formations sculpted by wind, water and time. Along the way, hikers discover natural arches, caves, weathered granite shapes and quiet viewpoints stretching across the Namib landscape.

The Five Kalahari Farms Hiking Safari is a warm and authentic farm-to-farm walking experience through the heart of the Kalahari. It combines wide open pans, red dunes, dry riverbeds, acacia savannah and the generous hospitality of local farming families.

This route gives hikers the rare chance to walk through privately owned working farms, meet the people who live on the land and hear their stories. Farm brunches, fresh local produce, open-fire meals and relaxed evenings at wild camps make this hike especially personal and memorable.

Damaraland | Sorris Sorris Conservancy

The Sorris Sorris Hiking Safari takes hikers into the rugged heart of Damaraland, between open desert plains, dry riverbeds, granite outcrops and the life-giving Ugab River. It is a landscape shaped by ancient rock, wide horizons and the movement of desert-adapted wildlife.

The route is done in partnership with the Sorris Sorris Conservancy and includes local guides who know the landscape, wildlife signs and river systems well. Hikers may encounter tracks and signs of desert-adapted elephants, while the route itself offers a true feeling of walking through wild, untouched Namibia.
