Game Drives

The best way to see the breathtaking wildlife of the Okavango Delta is on a guided game drive. The concession where we conduct game drives holds world-class wildlife, with excellent opportunities to see lions, wild dogs, leopards, elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and countless other species. The area is also outstanding for birders, with hundreds of species present. Because of our concession location, we can track animals and ethically off-road, which greatly improves the quantity and quality of our sightings. Game drives in the northern Okavango Delta provide some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the world.

Unique to our camp, all of our guides and trackers are Bukakhwe Bushmen, who grew up in the area that they now guide. This creates a deep understanding and respect of the habitat, as it's their ancestral land. We use a tracker and guide team. The tracker has a special seat on the front of the vehicle, from which they can see even the most subtle signs of wildlife.

We use top of the line, custom built, open sided game viewers. Because we limit each vehicle to six guests, each guest is guaranteed a "window seat" with no one stuck in the middle.

Game drives include snacks and beverages. We also offer night game drives, where guests can observe a diverse array of nocturnal animals.

Guided Walks

Guided walks are a nice change of pace from game drives. Walks allow you to slow down and experience the land from a different perspective, as the Bukakhwe ancestors did. Our guided walks are escorted by a tracker and an armed guide.

There is simply no way to describe the experience of watching elephants and other wildlife while on foot. You have to experience it for yourself.

Mokoro

Mokoro safaris are a unique way to explore the waterways of the Okavango Delta. A mokoro is a traditional dugout canoe, and is propelled through the water by a poler using a long pole.

On a mokoro trip, guests can experience a range of animals that might be missed on a game drive, including stunning birds, aquatic species, amphibians, and more. The pace of a mokoro safari is leisurely, allowing for reflection and enjoyment of the peaceful surroundings.

Mokoro rides offer a memorable and authentic way to experience the natural beauty and wildlife of the Okavango Delta.
