Simbavati Trails Camp

Simbavati Trails Camp is an intimate and unique retreat offering a luxury yet rustic back-to-basics safari experience, nestled within the secluded heart of the Timbavati Game Reserve. Located along the unfenced boundary of Kruger National Park, this camp is all about the thrill of walking safaris, guided by expert rangers who immerse you in the untamed beauty of the African bush. Explore 11,000 hectares of pristine wilderness, where every step brings you closer to the raw energy of nature.

Without electricity, WiFi, or cell phone reception, the camp offers a rare opportunity to disconnect completely from the outside world and reconnect with the land. The camp’s minimalist ethos ensures a focused, immersive experience, where the sounds of the bush, from distant lion roars to the call of birds, become your soundtrack. Hearty meals are prepared over an open fire, creating a homely yet adventurous atmosphere under the star-filled African sky.

Simbavati Trails Camp is open seasonally, from March to November, allowing guests to explore the wild during the cooler months, when the trails are most inviting. The minimum stay is two nights, though a three-night stay is recommended for those seeking to fully embrace the slower rhythm of walking safaris and the transformative power of the wilderness.

Children from 16 years are welcome.
