Game drives at Jabali are conducted in your own private vehicle, and are undoubtedly the best way to see the big game of Ruaha. Covering large areas at a time, you’ll pass through forests of spiky baobab, open plains and lush, rolling hills. Keep your eyes peeled for lion, elephant and buffalo, as well as greater and lesser kudu, and the many other antelope that dot the landscape. Game drives are most fruitful when taken in the morning and late afternoon, but you may want to pack a picnic lunch and set off for a full day game drive, exploring the southern areas of the park, or searching for the elusive herds of eland.

Stay out after dark for a chance to find the elusive nocturnal animals of Ruaha. With the aid of a powerful spotlight, you’ll have the chance to see porcupine, civet and bush babies, and perhaps catch predators on the move.

Leave your vehicle behind for a morning, and set out to discover Ruaha by foot. Every sense is heightened as you track pawprints through the sand, listen to the twittering of the birds and search for the smaller creatures of the bush.
