NOTE: 1. Flights are subject to availability. 2. Accommodation is subject to availability. 3. Cost may vary due to changes in air ticket fares and fuel surcharges. TRAVEL INSURANCE We highly recommend that you take out medical and travel insurance before you leave home. BOOKING AND PAYMENT We’d require a 20% deposit in order to confirm your booking, as well as payment in full for any flights or permits we may be booking on your behalf. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to departure. You can make payment either by direct deposit into our bank account or by credit card. We accept both Visa and Mastercard, please request a copy of our Credit Card Authorisation Form from your consultant. CANCELLATION POLICY Should you cancel your trip more than 6 weeks prior to departure, your 20% deposit is non-refundable. Should you cancel within 6 weeks prior to departure, 100% cancellation fees apply. This doesn't include flights which have to be paid upfront and usually aren't refundable, unless we specifically book refundable flight options. Note that some properties may have different cancellation policies. We advise you to check with your consultant. HEALTH PRECAUTIONS If you will be visiting malaria areas we advise that you take prophylactics. Please consult your doctor before leaving home. Visit the travel clinic website to read more on what precautions and immunizations are necessary for travel in Africa: http://www.travelclinic.co.za/ Malaria areas are: Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, northern Namibia, northern Botswana and the low-lying eastern part of South Africa, north of Richards Bay (especially in summer between October and April). PASSPORTS You must be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months after your return date in order to enter the country. The passport must also contain at least TWO unused pages when presenting the passport for endorsements in Africa. Additional pages will be necessary if you are also travelling to other countries during your trip. LUGGAGE The luggage weight limit on your internal flights may be as little as 15kg per person, please check with your consultant on the weight limit for your routing. CURRENCY If you are travelling to Rwanda, the currency of choice is US Dollars. All vendors, restaurants and attractions accept payment in US Dollars. Most hotels accept credit cards (for settling extras). Please confirm with your consultant whether all the properties you will be staying at accept credit cards. Please make sure to take dollars in small denominations. And make especially sure that you carry NEW dollar bills (issued after the year 2000) Older notes are not accepted in US Dollar-based countries in Africa. Most vendors (especially in Botswana) do not accept AMEX cards. VISAS All travellers must have valid visas for the countries they will be visiting. These must be obtained before travel commences.
