Liuwa Plains & the Kafue Safari - Zambia Nov 2024

There will be minimal space on this safari for just six guests. And this may be the last running of this safari for the foreseeable future. 

Liuwa is where people who 'know' head in search of something different and exciting, and Liuwa is definitely different and exciting!
This is no ordinary safari. Carpets of flowers, incredible bird life, Hyenas that laze away hot days neck deep in pools, Africa's 2nd largest wildebeest migration. And an unfolding reintroduction predator programme which visitors can see in action.
Our visitors are guided expertly and with the most profound knowledge and understanding of these unique habitats. Your guides are the same Classic Zambia / Reel Nature Film location safari team, who have guided and escorted the planet's best wildlife documentary makers as they created game-changing  (for the film industry, and Liuwa itself) films for TV and the big screen.  

The Liuwa Plains is an achingly vast grassland that sometimes feels as if you can see the earth's curvature. Great herds of Wildebeest live here all year but especially at this time of year when their number swells to take advantage of the fresh grazing and give birth to their young.
Hyena clans haunt Liuwa, for many years, Hyenas were the apex predator, but the resurgence of the Lion population and the recent relocation of wild dogs has restored the balance of power and has created a hotbed of memorable encounters between species.

A mobile safari staying at one of the few private camping areas in Liuwa. There will be just 4 tents with a maximum of 6 guests. Liuwa mobiles are a classic safari under canvas. 

This safari also combines a visit to the Kafue  National Park. at ' Musekese 'the home of  Classic Zambia Safaris  (Jeffery & McKeith Safaris) ' and recognised as 'the' home of true conservation-focused safaris in Zambia and the camp to really experience the Kafue.

The wildlife and habitat in the Musekese area of the Kafue are varied and beautiful in equal measure add to that the skills of the unpretentious and passionate wildlife experts that will be looking after you will ensure you feel at home in the bush at Musekese and get the most from your safari.
