This small group safari is a well rounded 12 night overland tour crossing the border between Kenya and Tanzania. It can be done on a scheduled or private basis. If you are a party of 4, the costs of a private tour are virtually the same as a scheduled tour.
The tour generally follows the path of the Great Migration, a magnificent annual event where close to two million blue wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of Thompson’s gazelle and some of their friends move between the Serengeti National Park and the Masai Mara National Reserve.
The East African Exploration combines interesting cultures, beautiful landscapes and an excellent opportunity for spotting the ‘Big Five’ game animals. As this is a scheduled tour and you will be sharing your transport with other guests, this brings down the cost of a safari quite considerably. It is a fantastic option for those looking for something that won’t break the bank but don’t want to compromise on the game-viewing either. It is of course, very attractive for people wanting to see the Annual Migration on a budget. And you avoid lots of jumping on and off planes too.
Base itinerary uses Keekorok Lodges in Kenya and Serena Lodges in Tanzania whereas the upgrade option uses Serena Lodges throughout.
