Panama-Tropic Star Lodge Trip

Share:

Introduction

Thanks for selecting Trek Safaris as your booking agent for your upcoming trip to Panama's famed Tropic Star Lodge. This will be a seven day and six night trip with three full days of saltwater action. Day one gets you to the cosmopolitan city of Panama City where you spend the initial evening. Day two gets out out to Pinas Bay and the Tropic Star lodge and allows you to rest up. The following three days you will be awakened at 5:45 a.m. by one of the wait staff with a hot cup of coffee or beverage of your choice. Breakfast is served in the dining room at 6:00 a.m. and our boats leave the dock at 6:30 a.m. or at your leisure. The boats head out each morning to catch bait and then troll either for billfish, or if you decide to fish for other species, they will gladly take you to their favorite hotspot. The crews are in constant communication with each other via VHF Radio so if there’s a good bite happening elsewhere, they will be sure to let you know so you can decide if you would like to get in on the action. Lines are picked up at 3:00 p.m but if you are hooked up, you will be given extra time (within reason) to land the fish.

All necessary fishing equipment will be provided in-country; there’s no need to bring any tackle unless you have a favorite lure. Tropic Star suggests you bring your own fly equipment and recommended fly rod to bring is a 13-14 Wt. for sailfish and dorado, etc.

Day six gets you back to Panama City to enjoy your final overnight and day seven gets you back on your way home.
