PATAGONIA AZUL

The Atlantic coast of Patagonia goes beyond Puerto Madryn, Valdés Peninsula and Punta Tombo. Deeper exploration includes, for example, Camarones, Dos Bahías,  Bahía Bustamante and Puerto Deseado.  More rustic and with fewer services, but with an intense taste of the sea. Few tourists and a large amount of fauna, not just penguins and wolves but also sea-elephants, guanacos, maras and hundreds of birds.
The southern section is part of the new domains of the PIMCPA (Austral Patagonia Coastal Marine Interjurisdictional Park), created in 2009. The northern section, a forgotten sector of Route 1 that was left to the will of God when the layout of the Route # 3 was completed.  Both make up the three million hectares of the Patagonia Azul Biosphere Reserve, incorporated by UNESCO in 2015.  This area represents a great opportunity for the conservation and restoration of endangered environments and species, on which it is projected to reinforce and expand the protection of coastal and marine ecosystems, through the Nature Production model.  
The contrast of these lands and their landscapes captivates us as they captivated Charles Darwin back in 1833: the imposing estuary, its canyons full of history and unforgettable characters, the immensity of the steppe and the enormous wealth of marine flora and fauna.

Moist sea air tends to feel cooler. • Rain jacket.  Trouser covers  is usually useful. • Buff or face and neck protector.  • Photography cameras with enough battery and protection so that they do not get wet in case a wave splashes • Telescopes.
