Dear Travellers,
Please find below a sample itinerary designed to showcase some of Malawi’s most beautiful and contrasting regions — combining scenic landscapes, authentic cultural encounters, unique safari experiences and the tranquil shores of Lake Malawi.
Your journey begins in the lush Thyolo region, surrounded by rolling tea plantations and the timeless charm of Huntingdon House. From there, continue through the scenic highlands of Dedza, known for its pottery traditions, mountain landscapes and peaceful atmosphere.
A spectacular charter flight then takes you north to the remote Nyika National Park, where vast grasslands, forests and abundant wildlife create one of Africa’s most unique safari experiences. During your stay at Chelinda Camp, enjoy game drives, nature walks and breathtaking scenery across the plateau.
The journey concludes on idyllic Likoma Island, where Kaya Mawa Lodge offers the perfect setting to unwind amidst the turquoise waters of Lake Malawi, with opportunities for relaxation, snorkeling, kayaking and cultural discovery. A final overnight stay in Lilongwe provides a comfortable ending to your Malawi adventure before your onward journey home.
This itinerary is presented as an example only. No reservations have been made, and all arrangements remain subject to availability at the time of booking. Our team would be delighted to personalize every detail to suit your travel style and preferences.
Enjoy the reading, get inspired, and we look forward to designing your perfect Malawi journey.

Budget Considerations
The overall cost of travel will depend on several factors, including:
Duration of travel (longer journeys dilute transfers over more nights, making the average rate per night more efficient)
Season of travel (May and June are ideal in terms of climate and also offer considerably lower pricing compared to peak season)
Group size (sharing transport and guides reduces per-person costs)
Lodge category (entry-level vs. luxury lodges)
