Botswana

Days 1 - 3

The landlocked African country of Botswana consists of a beautiful tableland spread across the middle of southern Africa. It consists of unfenced game reserves, friendly people, and incredible natural elegance. Landscapes vary between deserts and deltas and play home to a wide variety of animal life. With rock art dating back at least 100,000 years, the Kalahari Sand Dunes dominate western Botswana's landscape and are a cultural and historical highlight. In addition to the Kalahari, the country is also engulfed by the Makgadikgadi salt pan, accompanied by the vast inland delta of the Okavango - an oasis of lagoons and channels amidst grasslands, palms and Mopane forests. Botswana offers the chance to see all of the Big Five in one place, including the largest population of elephants on the continent. The country has indeed become the pride of Africa, with its exceptional beauty, majestic wildlife, natural wonders, and warm locals, making it a place to visit.

Okavango Delta

Days 3 - 5

Northern Botswana hosts the Okavango Delta, a vast inland delta, and it is known as the world’s largest intact delta. This region is renowned for its expansive grasslands, which flood seasonally, providing a rich habitat for animals. The Okavango River feeds it during the drier months. The fan-shaped delta is a network of papyrus-fringed stretches that connect open areas teeming with water lilies. The Moremi Game Reserve covers the eastern and central parts of the region. Here, dugout canoes manoeuvre past hippos, elephants and crocodiles. On dry land, wildlife includes lions, leopards, giraffes and rhinos.

Kasane

Days 8 - 10

Kasane is a town in Botswana, close to Africa's 'Four Corners', where Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe almost meet. Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park, is a significant departure point for the nearby Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, Livingstone in Zambia, and Namibia's Caprivi Strip. Spread out along the banks of the Chobe River, Kasane boasts terrific views of its wildlife. Visitors often opt for a morning game drive and an afternoon boat cruise since animals are usually seen during these times. Crocodile farms, Victoria Falls trips and photographic safaris are among the many fun things to do here.
