Welcome to Botswana! Upon arrival in Maun, you will be met and greeted by a Kwando Safaris representative who will escort you to your connecting charter flight to your first safari destination in the Okavango Delta. The Pom Pom airstrip is approximately five flights from camp. The flight by light aircraft takes approximately 20 minutes from Maun and 1.5 hours from Kasane.

Today, you'll fly deeper into the wilderness and bush. The 4 Rivers airstrip is about 20 minutes from camp. Settle into camp, enjoy a light lunch, and feel warmly welcomed before embarking on your first safari experience. Enjoy the closeness to nature and the most romantic starry sky after sunset.

A flight over the Okavango Delta is a breathtaking experience, offering a bird's-eye view of one of the world's largest inland deltas. From above, the landscape unfolds like a vibrant mosaic—winding channels, shimmering lagoons, palm-fringed islands, and lush floodplains teeming with wildlife. Elephants, hippos, and herds of antelope are often seen from the air, migrating through the waterways and open grasslands. Kwara Camp is about a 10-minute 4x4 drive from the airfield.

The final highlight of your safari journey is world-renowned Chobe National Park, most spectacular for its large herds of elephants and buffalo, gathering along the Chobe.  Feel spoilt with a romantic champagne-breakfast while cruising the river and soaking in serene nature and an abundance of wildlife. 

Transfer to the airport and and check-in for your flight back home.
