Set on the southern slopes of Mount Meru, Mulala is a traditional rural community surrounded by farmland and mountain scenery. The journey to the village passes through lush vegetation and small family-run farms, while the higher slopes reveal impressive views of Mount Meru and, on clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro. A visit to Mulala includes walks through coffee and banana plantations, offering insight into local farming methods and community-led economic activities such as cheese-making, bread-making, flower seed preparation, chilli cultivation, and sewing.
