One of the major drawcards of the street is the level of diversity: everyone from global travellers to local children to the famous Bangkok Ladyboys stroll through the bustle. Shoppers can barter and eat their way through the Thanon Khao San Market, history enthusiasts can wonder at the panoramic views from Bangkok’s Ghost Tower (an eerie, unfinished high rise), and art lovers can explore the renowned National Gallery, once the home of King Rama V.

The Khwae Yai River, also known as the River Kwai, is located in western Thailand in the province of Kanchanaburi. This historically significant river gained fame from the 1957 film "The Bridge on the River Kwai," which depicts the construction of the Burma Railway during World War II. Visitors can explore the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai, a poignant war memorial and a popular tourist attraction. The surrounding area offers numerous activities, such as visiting the JEATH War Museum and the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. One of Thailand’s lesser explored and largely agricultural provinces, Phetchaburi lies along the border with Myanmar, where the jungle-covered peaks of the Tanaosri Mountains form a natural division between the two countries. Het Khao Sok National Park is één van de oudste regenwouden ter wereld en één van de mooiste natuurreservaten van heel Azië. De oerbossen hier zijn nog ouder en diverser dan die in bv. het Amazonegebied. U kan er fantastische jungletrekkings doen en boottochtjes maken over het oogverblindend mooie Cheow Larn Lake.
