The surrounding landscapes are dotted with calm mirror-like lakes, fir trees and grazing reindeer. This stunning lakeside destination is one of the oldest villages in the county and offers a wide range of activities. Visit the vestiges of the village's first settlers, including the old homestead - a timber cottage built in 1736 - and the Jukkasjärvi Church, a unique red timber building with a stand-alone bell tower.
