- Collect your rental car at Cape Town Airport and travel to the Mother City (alternatively we can organize an airport transfer and have your rental car delivered at a later stage)
- Start your holiday with 3 wonderful days in Cape Town. There is so much to see and to do!
- Highlights include the V&A Waterfront, Robben Island, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the historical inner city, markets and of course Table Mountain. Book a guided walking tour through the city, cycle through the townships or go for sundowners on Signal Hill.
- Stay for 3 nights at the trendy Grand Daddy Hotel, situated within walking distance of the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel has very special airstream trailers on the rooftop (at an extra fee).
- Leave the city behind and travel to the countryside. You will be staying in Robertson, in the famous Robertson Wine Valley, for the next two nights. Visit any of the many wine estates, try a tasting and tour the wine cellars. Enjoy a sumptuous picnic in the estate gardens, go on a river cruise or blend your own bottle of wine.
- Stay 2 nights at Mo & Rose at Soekershof surrounded by great gardens and with an excellent restaurant on site.
- The first stop today will be Swellendam, the country’s 3rd oldest town. Spend some time here for a stroll and cup of coffee. Then drive the spectacular Tradouw Pass through the mountains and join the Route 62 all the way to Oudtshoorn. Stop at the small towns of Barrydale, Ladismith and Calitzdorp where time seems to have stood still. Oudtshoorn is well known for the ostrich farms and the Cango Caves.
- Optionally you can explore the history and heritage of Oudtshoorn with a local guide. Enjoy an educational town walk through streets, with well-known historical names, and visit eight heritage sites which include sandstone buildings known as Ostrich Feather Palaces. The local guide is sharing an indigenous perspective on town development and the culture of the area.
- Stay at Surval Boutique Olive Estate just out of town, for wonderful Karoo hospitality, food and olive tasting.
- Your holiday continues to the Garden Route, which roughly runs from Mossel Bay to the spectacular Tsitsikamma National Park, with Knysna and Plettenberg Bay as its central points. The Knysna Heads and Featherbed Nature Reserve are well worth a visit. Hike around Tsitiskamma and brave the suspension bridges for spectacular views. Walk on the beach of Plettenberg Bay and enjoy the beautiful sunset.
- Visit the Elephant Sanctuary, Tenikwa Wildlife Center and admire colourful birds at World of Birds.
- Enjoy staying at The Greens Guesthouse, with chalets offering spectacular views. The resort is surrounded by shady trees, well-tended gardens. Walk or cycle to Thesen Islands on the bricked promenade alongside the lagoon, or take an easy 5 km jog to the famous Knysna Heads. Set aside a day to explore the vast lagoon with its many secluded beaches or throw a line from the jetty into the Knysna lagoon in front of the resort.
- After a lovely time in the Western Cape of South Africa it is time to travel to George Airport, where you hand in your rental car and check in for your flight to Johannesburg or Cape Town.
