Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport, you will pick up your rental car and start your round trip. You will drive east to Hazyview where you will arrive at Summerfields Rose Retreat & Spa in the late afternoon. The rest of the day is free for you to relax after your long flight.
The next day we recommend you take a full day excursion enjoying the Panorama Route. Visit the Three Rondavels, God's Window and Bourkes Luck Potholes. Furthermore, a stop at the waterfalls Lisbon and Berlin Falls is worthwhile.
The Big 5 await you today! You leave Hazyview and set course for Kruger National Park, the most famous national park in South Africa and one of the largest in the world. It is bordered by Zimbabwe to the north and Mozambique to the east. Due to its location and its enormous size of 20,000 kmĀ², different vegetation and landscapes can be distinguished in Kruger NP, which are characterized by the presence of certain animal species, trees or bird species. A total of 14 different ecozones can be identified in the park.
You will spend two nights in Sabi Sands Game Reserve which is directly connected to the Kruger National Park. Already in the late afternoon you will take part in a guided game drive in an open safari vehicle. During your stay you will have a total of 4 x game drives in an open safari vehicle included.
After spending time at the Kruger National Park, your journey now continues south to eSwatini to Summerfields Luxury Resort. You will reach your accommodation in the late afternoon.
Today your journey takes you back to South Africa and you will spend the next two nights at Phinda Rock Lodge. The lodge is located in the Phinda Private Game Reserve and during your stay you will again have 4 x game drives in an open safari vehicle included.
Your destination today is the coastal town of Salt Rock near Ballito. You will spend two nights at Sala Beach House and have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful beach.
Your last destination on this eventful round trip are the Drakensberg Mountains, the highest mountains in South Africa, which surround the small landlocked country of Lesotho and reach into the small country with their highest elevations. A massive rock face that rises to over 3,000 meters allows for very scenic views and eventful hikes in pristine landscapes. There are dozens of hiking routes for every taste and fitness level. At your lodge, they will be happy to help you find the perfect route for you! You will spend two nights at Cleopatra Mountain Farmhouse.
Today you will leave the Drakensberg Mountains and return to Johannesburg. You will spend the last night at the African Rock Hotel & Spa, not far from the airport. The afternoon you are free to enjoy at your leisure and review the impressions of the last days.
Today you say goodbye to South Africa and drive back to Johannesburg Airport. At the airport you will drop off your rental car and embark on your flight back home.
