Day 1: Puerto Iguazu

Welcome to Iguazu!

Upon arrival in Iguazu airport, your local guide will meet you, and share their insights into the stunning national parks of this area where Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay meet. After you've checked into your hotel, you'll have all the evening to relax by the swimming pool and start to get captivated by the sounds of this subtropical rainforest. Get prepared for an amazing day ahead!

Day 2: Puerto Iguazu

Today, after a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and begin an incredible tour that you will never forget!

You willarrive to the Visitors Center, where an interpretative building with giant panels will show you the importance of the biodiversity at the subtropical humid forest. Catwalks and observatories will let you enjoy the magnificent falls, one of the natural wonders of the world, which culminates in the impressive Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat), where the Iguazu River crashes down almost 80 meters offering a breathtaking experience. From the visitors center you can walk around trails or in a gas-propelled train. There are two basic circuits: an upper path and a lower path. The lower path leads to the base of the falls, where the spray moistens you. It is a unique experience, worth daring the adventure. From the upper path you have strategic panoramic views. Leaving from Cataratas station, the tour continues to the 1.1 km flat catwalk built over the upper Iguazu River that after crossing several islandswill  lead you  to the balcony on the Devils Throat, the biggest fall with such a big flow of water that you will not believe your eyes!!

After today's adventure ends, you will be transferred back to your Hotel to get a well deserved rest.

Day 3: Iguazu National Park (Argentina)

Today, you will depart, after breakfast,  to enjoy the brazilian side of the falls. 

This is a completely different tour when compared to the Argentinean side.  After arrival at the Visitors Center you will be transferred through paved road to the catwalks to observe the incomparable beauty of the Iguaçu Waterfalls across a 1200 meters path, with a full view of the them, with several balconies and a runway over the river up to the ¨Devil's Throat¨, the greatest fall of the National Park. The Path ends in a viewpoint at the upper Iguassu Falls accessed through a panoramic elevator; from where you will follow a trail to the Port Canoas Space, a pleasurable lookout point to the upper Iguassu River, hosting a restaurant and snack bars, handicraft shop, toilets and a medical first aid outpost. 

At 2.00 p.m. you will be transferred to Yacutinga Meeting Point where you will board the bus that will take you to the lodge. On the way to Yacutinga Lodge, The landscape is very picturesque, characterized by its reddish soil, the various shades of greens, the colonist and their rural areas of Yerba Mate farms. In the 145-km distance covered along a paved road the landscape combines small towns and Forest. During this trip, the Guide will explain the environmental problems of the region and the importance of Natural Areas Conservation. Upon arrival at the lodge and after checking in, you will get to know more about the lodge. Through this presentation the guide in charge will explain to you the environmental situation of the ecosystem you are visiting. The guide will also talk about the activities and the environmental problematic of the Rainforest and the actions being taken to achieve its conservation.

Then you will enjoy a delicious dinner surrounded by nature.

Day 4: Iguazu National Park (Argentina)

After enjoying breakfast, you will take an early canoeing along the San Francisco stream, which flows into the Natural Reserve. This is the right moment for a photo-safari and fauna observation. The Forest water streams are highly important for the Ecosystem: they are life corridors. Padding these gentle waters is extremely relaxing and gives you the opportunity to move along the Gallery forests in silence. In this environment, seed dispersal occurs differently. Root systems have adapted to flood Soils. Salt patches are very common on the shores of these streams, and wild animals often seek these places, therefore it is common to find animal footprints and traces in the muddy shores. 

At mid-morning you will go back to the lodge for lunch and you will then have some free time to walk the gardens of the Lodge searching for curious natural details  and simply enjoy the facilities of the Lodge (swimming pool, optional Yoga and Meditation practices, etc.). In the afternoon you will have the chance to take Interpretative walks conducted by expert guides who provide good information on the several natural environments, their Flora and Fauna associated. 

Finally, after dinner you will take a stunning  night walk.  The sounds of Nature produce a very complex symphony. You will silently take part of this scene. The owls start their activities. Above you, the Milky Way becomes your ceiling. Definitely an experience you will not forget!

Day 5: End of Itinerary

Today is your last day in Iguazu. After breakfast you will have  free time to explore, take a  self-guided interpretation trail, enjoy the Lodge area or participate in Yacutinga's orchid rescue program. Later, you will  return to Iguazú  by land at mid-morning and be transferred to the airport where you will take the transfer to your next destination.
