Day notes

After three unforgettable nights at Umani Springs, the journey continues to Ithumba, a vital reintegration unit in Tsavo East. The drive to Ithumba is a scenic one, leading into a remote, untamed wilderness where older orphans take their final steps toward a life in the wild. You will spend three nights at Ithumba Hill Camp, experiencing the three daily elephant interactions—watching the orphans at the stockade in the early morning, joining them at the midday mud bath, and witnessing their evening return to the stockade. These moments provide deep insights into elephant behavior, social structures, and the importance of conservation
