Day 1: Cape Town

After your individual arrival, you will be warmly welcomed at the airport by an English-speaking driver. Your private transfer will take you comfortably to your accommodation in a prime location – right on the lively V&A Waterfront.

After checking in, you will have time to explore the area on your own. Stroll along the charming promenade, browse the boutiques or enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the stylish restaurants with stunning views of Table Bay.

Day 2: Cape Town

Discover Cape Town – with heart and history

At around 8 a.m., you will be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking tour guide – your half-day city tour of Cape Town begins! You will first pass the historic De Raden and the Castle of Good Hope before arriving at the imposing Groote Kerk via Adderley Street with its numerous monuments. The tour continues through the charming Tamboerskloof district to the colourful Cape Malay quarter, which delights visitors with its brightly painted houses and narrow streets. You will then visit the lively Greenmarket Square and the old town hall before taking a leisurely stroll through the green Company's Garden – once the vegetable garden of the Dutch East India Company.

Weather permitting, you will have the opportunity to take the famous cable car up to the majestic Table Mountain (ticket not included). The tour concludes with a walk through the popular Victoria & Alfred Waterfront – a vibrant hub of shops, cafés and culture.

Depending on your preference, your tour guide will then take you back to the hotel – or you can enjoy some free time at the Waterfront.

Day 3: Cape Town

A day at the Cape of Good Hope – magic at the end of the world

Today, you will take an unforgettable day trip to the Cape Peninsula – to the legendary Cape of Good Hope. This mystical place south of Cape Town is one of the most fascinating places in the world. Almost everyone knows the stories about the storm-tossed cape, where countless ships once were wrecked and where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans seem to meet. Today, nature usually shows its gentler side: in clear weather, you can enjoy a breathtaking view across the sea to the horizon.

In Simons Town, visit the famous penguin colony at Boulders Beach, where you can get up close to these charming little creatures in their tuxedos. Afterwards, enjoy spectacular views along the Boyes Drive coastal road and drive along one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in the world – Chapman's Peak Drive, which nestles high above the ocean on the cliffs. A day full of natural wonders, maritime history and unforgettable photo opportunities awaits you.

Day 4: Stellenbosch

Enjoyable drive through the wine region – Franschhoek and Stellenbosch

After exciting days in Cape Town, your journey continues to South Africa's idyllic wine country. Only about an hour's drive away awaits the historic town of Stellenbosch – known for its oak-lined avenues, well-preserved Cape Dutch architecture and lively cultural life. On a guided city tour, you will discover charming galleries, small boutiques and traditional cafés. Afterwards, continue on to Franschhoek, where you can enjoy a wine tasting at one of the region's renowned wineries. Surrounded by rolling hills, vineyards and stylish scenery, you will learn more about the long tradition of winegrowing.

Day 5: Oudtshoorn

Off to Oudtshoorn – ostrich capital along Route 62

After breakfast, your journey takes you along the picturesque Route 62 to Oudtshoorn, in the heart of the Little Karoo. The R62 is considered one of South Africa's most beautiful travel routes – it winds its way through rolling hills, dreamy wine villages and vast semi-desert plains. Along the way, you can expect breathtaking views, charming farm stands and small towns with lots of character – a real alternative to the more famous Garden Route.

In Oudtshoorn, the world-famous ostrich capital, you will first check into your accommodation. In the afternoon, you will visit a traditional ostrich farm, where you will learn all about the fascinating world of ostrich breeding during an informative guided tour. Learn more about the breeding, husbandry and economic importance of these extraordinary birds and experience these majestic animals up close.

Day 6: Knysna

Knysna is a picturesque coastal town on South Africa’s Garden Route, known for its serene lagoon, lush indigenous forests, and dramatic sandstone cliffs known as the Heads. Day 7: Greater Addo

From the Wild Coast to the Kingdom of Elephants – Tsitsikamma & Addo

Today, you continue your journey along the picturesque Garden Route – your destination is the spectacular Tsitsikamma National Park, a natural paradise on the rugged coast of the Eastern Cape.

Depending on the weather, you can take a walk to the famous Storms River mouth, where the roaring waves of the Indian Ocean meet the dense forests of the hinterland. The national park stretches over 80 kilometres of rugged coastline with steep cliffs, foaming surf and dramatic sea views. Inland, an impressive mountain world awaits you with deep valleys, dense high forests and species-rich mountain fynbos, criss-crossed by wild rivers and gorges.

In the afternoon, you will reach Addo Elephant National Park, a real highlight of your trip. On the very first day, you will experience an exciting game drive in a tour vehicle.

Originally founded to save the last eleven elephants in the region from extinction, Addo is now South Africa's third largest national park and a symbol of successful conservation work. Today, around 500 elephants live on over 180,000 hectares – alongside lions, buffalos, rhinos, numerous antelope species and an impressive bird life. Look forward to your first encounter with Africa's wildlife in its natural environment – an unforgettable start to your safari experience!

Day 8: Greater Addo

Safari adventure in Amakhala Game Reserve – an unforgettable finale

After breakfast, you will set off for the nearby Amakhala Game Reserve, a private game reserve renowned for its scenic beauty and rich wildlife.

The crowning glory of your trip awaits you here: a jeep safari through the African wilderness! Accompanied by an experienced ranger, you will follow in the footsteps of the ‘Big Five’ and experience the fascinating wildlife up close. With a little luck, you may spot a lioness on the prowl, a mighty elephant leisurely making its way through the thicket, or a giraffe striding elegantly across the savannah.

During the drive, your ranger will share exciting insights into the behaviour and habitat of the wild animals – an impressive mix of knowledge, adventure and respect for nature.

To recharge your batteries, a delicious lunch awaits you in a stylish lodge in the middle of the reserve – surrounded by unspoilt nature and the sounds of the wilderness.

Day 9: End of Itinerary

Farewell to the Garden Route – city tour in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth)

Spend the morning enjoying a leisurely breakfast before continuing your journey. Your trip takes you to Port Elizabeth, now known as Gqeberha. On an orientation city tour, you will discover the most important sights and learn more about the history of this charming coastal city.

From Gqeberha, you have several options for continuing your journey: either start your journey home or opt for an extended stay in one of the exclusive private game reserves in the Eastern Cape.
