Day 1: Namibia

Your guide meets you in Swakopmund and together you depart for an adventure of a lifetime! Latest departure out of Swakopmund with your guide is 08:00. You will head north towards the Skeleton Coast, head east at Sprinbok Wasser across the rocky basalt plains of Damaraland. Once you reach the area of Bergsig, your guide will drive into the Etendeka Mountains and descend into the Poachers Camp area, this is where your guide will set up camp for the night.

Day 2: Namibia

Early morning to go on a walk with your guide to explore the area, hopefully you get a chance to see the Black Rhino, as they favour the cooler morning temperatures to move around and feed. Upon return, a well-deserved ‘brunch’ is served. Afterwards there is some time to relax in the camp until it starts to cool down in the afternoon. After enjoying the afternoon coffee and tea, you will head out on a drive with your guide encountering many game species like the Hartmann Mountain zebra, oryx, kudu, giraffe and springbok. To end off the day, catch the sunset and enjoy a stunning sundowner!

Day 3: Damaraland

This safari leads into the 5500 square kilometre private Concession Area of Palmwag. Breathtaking landscapes in mountainous area teeming with game welcome you. Tonight’s camp will be erected in the wild. Enjoy a refreshing drink while the guide prepares dinner on an open fire and absorb the day’s experiences.

Day 4: Hoanib River

After breakfast enjoy a walk with your guide for a brief inspection of the night’s game activities around camp.

The journey then continues into the Mudorib River with a good chance of encountering black rhino or desert elephant. Upon arrival at the Hoanib River camp will be set up in one of the side tributaries of the dry riverbed.

Day 5: Hoanib River

Today you will enjoy a full day game drive on the lookout for more animals that made this part of the world their home. You overnight in the same camp as the previous night.

Day 6: Hoarusib River

Today you head towards the dry Hoarusib River.  Its name is thought to have originated from the geology of this stretch as the Nama word “! naruseb" means "water which twists and turns through a narrow gorge".

You will explore this fascinating area with your guide and camp will be set up somewhere along the dry river.

Day 7: Skeleton Coast

Onward we travel toward the Sanitatas area. Along the route you will meet Ovahimba herdsmen moving with their cattle in search of suitable grazing area. You will learn more about the Ovahimba traditions and this interesting lifestyle whilst visiting a few traditional villages.
Your journey continues further across a scenic valley to tonight's camp, which will also be set up in the wild. 
 

Day 8: Namibia

Your adventure continues in a northerly direction past some Herero villages at Anabib en route to Kaoko Otavi, an old Dorsland trek settlement, to the southwest of Opuwo. Encounter another nomadic Ovahimba tribe.  After a brief stop in Kaoko Otavi, the safari continues in a westerly direction via smaller Ovahimba settlements and villages.

Camp for the night is erected in this picturesque area!

Day 9: Etosha West

Heading back towards a little more civilization, your destination today is the Hobatere Lodge. The unique location of Hobatere, being the getaway into the Western Etosha National Park, allows for an exclusive wildlife experience.  At the same time, making the guests aware that Hobatere is a conservancy lodge which benefits the local community and conservation.

Day 10: Etosha South

Today you will travel towards the famous Etosha National Park to the The Etosha Oberland Lodge.

The lodge is nestled in a private nature park adjacent to the southern entrance of the National Park and combines luxury with a lot of privacy.

Take the afternoon to relax at the pool and let the last few days pass in revue.

Day 11: Etosha South

Etosha is Namibia's flagship national park, and you get to explore it with your guide in the tour vehicle today. The park’s main characteristic is a salt pan so large it can be seen from space.  Yet there is abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes, giving you almost guaranteed game sightings.

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Today your guide will take you to Hosea Kutako International Airport in time for check-in on your outbound flight.

Take care of all formalities and bid farewell to Namibia; we wish you a safe journey home.
