Day 1: Windhoek

Welcome to Namibia! After your arrival in Windhoek, you will be welcomed by our local representative. We will answer questions, exchange money together and help you collect your rental car. Continue to your accommodation in the capital, Windhoek. Spend the rest of the day enjoying the local amenities or opt for a city tour to explore the many viewpoints.

Days 2 - 3: Solitaire

Enjoy a hearty breakfast early in the morning before continuing on to Solitaire, a tiny, remote settlement in the Namib Desert, known for its rustic charm and as a popular stopover for travelers heading to Sossusvlei. Despite its small size, it is famous for its bakery, especially its freshly baked apple pie, and its collection of old, abandoned cars that add to its unique desert character.  After your arrival, enjoy the spectacular landscape that surrounds your desert lodge. During your stay, you have the opportunity to visit the highest dune, Big Daddy, and Deadvlei, the most famous viewpoints in this region. 

Days 4 - 5: Swakopmund

Today we continue towards the coast of Namibia and the charming town of Swakopmund, known for its unique blend of German colonial architecture and seaside charm. Swakopmund is a popular tourist destination, famous for adventure activities like sandboarding and quad biking, as well as its scenic beaches, historic buildings, and vibrant local culture. Be ready to enjoy an active stay!

Day 6: Erongo Mountains

Continue to the Erongo Mountains area. This impressive mountain region is at 1,245 meters above sea level and a geological wonder, the ruins of a volcano that formed many years ago. The area is popular for its excellent hiking trails, as well as its abundant birdlife, with over 260 local species. Rich in wildlife, including antelope and famous for its San rock art, offering insight into early human history.  Enjoy the remoteness without light pollution to see the heavens full of stars.

Day 7: Etosha South

Today your exploration of the fascinating Etosha National Park starts! This area is known for its waterholes, and excellent game-viewing opportunities, where visitors can spot animals such as elephants, lions, rhinos, and large herds of antelope. The landscape is characterized by open plains and the edge of the vast Etosha salt pan, making it a prime destination for safari experiences and photography.  

Days 8 - 9: Onguma Nature Reserve

Today you'll drive through the park in your own vehicle – have your camera ready for exciting wildlife photos. The park offers a fascinating opportunity to experience diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. In the afternoon, you'll arrive at your bush camp located in a private wildlife reserve located on the eastern edge of Etosha National Park. It is known for its diverse landscapes, including open plains, woodlands, and waterholes that attract a wide variety of animals such as lions, giraffes, antelope, and numerous bird species. Onguma offers an exclusive safari experience with the option of guided game drives and walking safaris.

Day 10: Rundu

Today you head for Rundu, a vibrant town in northern Namibia, situated along the banks of the Okavango River near the border with Angola. It serves as the capital of the Kavango East Region and is known for its warm climate, rich cultural heritage, and relaxed riverside atmosphere. Rundu is an important administrative and commercial center for the surrounding communities, with local markets, traditional crafts, and fishing playing a key role in daily life. Take time to enjoy a river cruise and the scenic views from the water.

Day 11: Okavango River

Today you travel to the Okavango River area which is one of southern Africa’s most remarkable waterways, flowing through Namibia, Angola, and Botswana. In Namibia, it forms a lush, life-giving border in the otherwise dry northern region, supporting farming, fishing, and local communities.  Explore nearby Bwabwata National Park including the Mahango and Buffalo areas known for elephants, buffalo, hippos, and rich birdlife.

Days 12 - 13: Kwando River

Continue your journey to the Kwando region, a remote area renowned for its pristine wilderness and abundant wildlife. A variety of optional activities are available, including guided game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, bush walks with experienced guides, sunrise and sunset wildlife viewing, and boat trips on the region's waterways. The Kwando region offers an immersive wilderness experience and a unique opportunity to witness African wildlife up close.

Days 14 - 15: Chobe River Front

Welcome to Botswana! After your arrival at Kasane Airport, you drop off your rental vehicle and take the lodge transfer service to make your way to your accommodation along the Chobe River Front. Once there, you can settle in and enjoy the local amenities. Look forward to exciting wildlife viewing and impressive nature experiences in the fascinating wilderness of Botswana.

Days 16 - 17: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After a hearty breakfast, you continue your journey to Zimbabwe! You will be picked up by a transfer service and drive towards the famous Victoria Falls. Once you arrive in the small town and your accommodation, freshen up before setting off on further activities. You will spend the next few days exploring the spectacular waterfalls and the town of Victoria Falls in depth! All activities include return transfers from your hotel.

Day 18: End of Itinerary

Transfer to the airport and check-in for your flight back home.
