COVID-19: ACTIVITIES & SERVICES

Day 1: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Today you will arrive into Victoria Falls where you will  proceed through customs and immigration, purchasing a KAZA Uni Visa for     $ 50 per person. This is a multiple entry visa for Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana allowing access to all three countries whilst in Victoria Falls.

Proceed to your hotel for the evening and overnight.  Bed & Breakfast is included.

Dinner is an extra cost

  

Days 2 - 4: Mana Pools National Park

After breakfast check out and transfer to the airport for your charter flight to Mana Pools.

Light aircraft transfers are done in single engined aircraft and operate on a seat in plane basis.

The number of passengers carried on each leg of our circuit flights is dependent on aircraft used, time of year, passenger and luggage weights, routing, fuel required, etc.   Luggage is restricted to 20kg in soft sided  bags (See luggage notes)

On arrival to the camp airstrip, guests will be met by the camp guide and transferred into camp in open 4x4 game vehicles.  You will get a taste of what the next few days will bring as you take in the sites, smells and sounds of the African bush. 

Check into your camp for 3 nights on a fully inclusive basis.

Mana Pools - A World Heritage Site, Core Area of the Middle-Zambezi Biosphere Reserve, Important Bird Area, and one of the wildest of Zimbabwe's National Parks, situated in the extreme north of the country.   This magnificent and extensive wildlife and wilderness complex is widely recognized as one of the finest in Africa.

During your few days in this amazing place, you will embark on drives and boat cruises that will literally have you astounded.  Your guides will vary your activities and have little surprises at every turn that will have you itching for each new day and what adventure if may bring.


 

Days 5 - 7: Matusadona National Park

Today you will  board another light aircraft for a 40 minute charter up the river along the Zambezi Valley to Lake Kariba.

Lake Kariba is the largest man made lake in the world and its extensive and attractive shorelines are home to large populations of wildlife and its islands are dotted in a picture-postcard deep blue sea against a backdrop of high escarpment mountain ranges on each side. Big sky sunsets over the lake are legendary, with the calm water turning to golden shot silk in the dusk and the bare branches of its famous drowned trees silhouetted in the foreground.

Whilst in camp your activities will mostly be centered around water - fishing, game viewing, sunset cruises.  Changa is very much a family orientated camp and your time here will be well spent relaxing and taking in the animals on the foreshore right in front of your rooms.... fishing for the infamous Tiger fish and dodging pods of raucous hippos who's snorts will become a favourite sound of Africa that you will remember forever.

 

Days 8 - 10: Hwange National Park

Leaving the Matusadona Hills behind you, fly to Hwange National Park.  Another scenic route along the escarpment into the savannah plains that make up this phenomenal park.

On arrival at Umtshibi airstrip, your friendly guide from The Hide Safari Camp will meet you with the biggest heartiest Matebeleland smile.   Your drive into camp will take about half an hour, depending on what you see enroute.  ON arrival you will check in for three nights on a fully inclusive basis.

With over 100 species present, Hwange has the widest variety of mammals of any national park in the world. It also has one of the largest elephant populations. The park has an impressive variety of antelope, including some of the unusual species such as sable antelope and greater kudu. 

Game activities will include game drives, hide sits, walks (Kids unfortunately too young to walk), nature trails, cultural visits, Wild Dog Research center visit and other exciting bush picnics, dinners and brunches. 

Days 11 - 13: Eastern Hwange National Park

Continuing your journey in Hwange, you will move by road through the park on open game drive vehicles, from the eastern part of the park to the southern part where you will check into Linkwasha Camp.  

Another 3 nights of raw African Bush will have you laying your head down after every day in anticipation for tomorrow's adventures.    Game activities will be advised based on the weather patterns and what animal movements are happening.   There is plenty to do at Linkwasha and are very much a family friendly camp.

 

Day 14: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Enjoy your last morning of safari before heading off to Victoria Falls.   Transfer to the Umbtshibi airstrip for your 40 min charter to Vic Falls.

On arrival at the Victoria Falls Airport you will be met and transferred into town.  The Old Drift Lodge is set along the banks of the river  and is a perfect blend of old world colonial with new modern rustic.    Their all inclusive package is fantastic value for money and the setting is insane.

During your stay in Vic Falls, there are various activities that are included.   

This afternoon we suggest you enjoy the lodge and its inclusive activities -  sunset cruise or game drive into the Zambezi National Park.  Dinner back at the lodge. 

 

Day 15: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

After an optional morning activity, enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting off for an adventure day.

A privately guided tour of the Victoria Falls followed by a canopy tour and lunch at the Lookout Cafe.    Should you wish to book any other adrenaline adventure slides, these can be done on site after the canopy tour. 

After lunch return to the lodge for some poolside time and optional afternoon activity.

Dinner this evening can be done in house or we can arrange to go to The Boma Restaurant  - a traditional evening of food and entertainment.  The kids usually really enjoy this evening.

Day 16: Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

Today is a leisurely day to do any other optional activities that you wish.  We recommend the following:

After breakfast transfer to the Elephant Wallow for a morning interaction with the orphaned elephants and a chance to walk with them in their natural habitat.  

Return to town and do an exciting Helicopter flight of angels and visit the Vulture Culture feeding before enjoying lunch back at the camp or at one of the many restaurants in town.  

This afternoon will be your final evening in africa and we have a special farewell planned for you.

Should PCR Testing still be required for departure, we will arrange in house testing for you at an extra cost of $ 60 pp.  These results will then be ready for your departure tomorrow.

Day 17: End of Itinerary

Enjoy a lie in today as you have a longhaul flight back home this evening.

Transfer to the Victoria Falls airport for your flight to Harare where you will then connect on your Emirates flight home **  Commercial flights are NOT included in this costing.

Should you fly other carriers, you can fly in and out of Victoria Falls, and leave out Harare, but at the time of quoting this is the best routing to advise.
