Day 1: Buenos Aires

"The Paris of South America"

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires you will be greeted at Ezeiza International Airport by an experienced guide who is just waiting to introduce you to one of the world's most exciting cities. Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina - A beautiful, multicultural, and sophisticated city that justly deserves its nickname, 'the Paris of South America'.  It's home to around 13 million people and is made up of more than 40 different barrios (neighbourhoods), each with its own unique character and appearance. 

Upon arrival a vehicle will transfer you to Tango de Mayo Hotel, an art Nouveau and tango inspired Hotel that used to be owned by the "Singer" sewing machines company and still has some original details from that time.

The rest of the day will be free to rest and recover from your flight in style or to start exploring the amazing city of Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

Today, after a delicious breakfast you will visit the most important sites of this spectacular city that combines its history and culture with new and stunning avant guard designs.

This sightseeing tour will allow you to discover the magic of this cosmopolitan city, capital of Argentina.  The magnificence of the Northern Quarters, Palermo and the beauty of its parks and buildings, Recoleta with its French style architecture, bars and cafes; the imposing Colon Theater, one of the five most important opera houses in the world; Plaza de Mayo (May Square) surrounded by the Government's House (The Pink House), The Old Cabildo (Town Hall) and the Metropolitan Cathedral; San Telmo, residence of the aristocracy until the turn of the XIX century. The colors of La Boca, pictures quarter of Italian immigrants; and the fashion area of Port Madero with its many bars & restaurants round off this excursion. 

The afternoon will be at leisure to keep exploring the city.  A visit to our emblematic “Café Tortoni” is a must!! Take your time and enjoy a coffee or a delicious hot chocolate at this iconic bar which is the oldest of the city (founded in 1858) Personalities such as Jorge Luis Borges and Carlos Gardel went there, so you could be sitting at the same table they once sat at!

Buenos Aires nightlife provides its own inhabitants and visitors with numerous entertainment possibilities. This evening you will attend an unforgettable tango show performed by the best dancers and singers, while enjoying a delicious meal. This is the perfect way to live Buenos Aires, the city of tango. After this enriching experience, you will return to the Hotel to rest and prepare for another fabulous day ahead.

Day 3: Buenos Aires

Today is at your leisure to keep exploring Buenos Aires culture and history.   We suggest one of the following optional tours:

Tigre and Delta Only 30 km from downtown Buenos Aires, the city of Tigre constitutes the access to know the Delta of the Paraná River , a group of islands and streams that open up like a fan and offer an attractive natural scenery ideal for recreation and rowing, skiing, sailing or fishing.  This 4 hour tour includes sailing along the different canals of the Delta and goes through the northern residential area of Buenos Aires suburbs, where the President's Major House is located.

Gaucho's Festival The typical landscape of the Argentina humid Pampa, one of the most fertile natural prairies in the world, famous for its meat and cereal production, may be appreciated by the tourist in this tour that includes a reception with "empanadas" (meat pies) and "asado" (roast meat) and good Argentinean wines, a show with folk songs and dances and an exhibition of the gaucho's abilities with riding, taming and the use of the lasso.

Day 4: Mendoza

"Mendoza, the wine capital of Argentina"

Today, you'll be making an early departure from your hotel to the airport to board your flight to Mendoza  which is the name of both the province and its capital city. It  is known throughout the world as the wine capital of Argentina. The area is located in the central western part of the country, nestled into the foothills of the Andes, and at the base of South Americas highest mountain the Aconcagua (6,959m). Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the airport by a friendly and experienced guide, who'll transfer you to the luxurious Diplomatic Hotel, and then help you become acquainted with the city. 

In the afternoon you will take a city tour of Mendoza that will allow you to learn the history and the culture of a city founded by the Spaniards more than four centuries ago. You will visit the Independence Square, main avenues, the civic and foundational areas; as well as the Aquarium, General San Martin Park and the Cerro de la Gloria, from where you will have a panoramic view of the city.

The evening is at leisure to rest and prepare for another amazing day!

Day 5: Mendoza

Mendoza -being one of the most appropriate regions in the world for the production of wines of excellent quality- has earned remarkable fame worldwide. . This circuit allows you to learn about the work man has done to tame the desert and which has allowed for the extraction of some of the best fruit you can find. Wonderful “fincas” surrounded by the magnificent landscape of the Andes Mountain Range welcome you to taste  the excellent varieties of wines, since Mendoza leads with its production of 70% of Argentine wines. You will visit different productive oasis of the region and view the wine making process. 
You will enjoy a lunch at Familia Zuccardi restaurant amidst the vineyards where you’ll also taste the different varieties of olive oil and enjoy a typical meal with magnificent wines!!
After this spectacular experience, you will go back to the Hotel to rest. The evening is at your leisure.

Day 6: Mendoza

After breakfast, you will make an early departure from Mendoza City towards the west to enter the Andes Mountain Range along an excellent mountain road towards the border with Chile, admiring, among other attractions, the superb view of Mount Aconcagua - the highest peak in America - Along the road you will visit Chacras de Coria, Potrerillos Valley, Uspallata Valley, Penitentes Ski Resort, the striking Inca’s Bridge, a natural formation made of rock and sulphur (thus its golden color) and the border village of Las Cuevas. Weather and road conditions permitting, you'll go up to 4,200 meters above sea level were the image of Christ the Redeemer on the border between Argentina and Chile, is located.

You will return to te Hotel after this spectacular tour to rest, take a walk, shop or enjoy the luxuries of the Hotel!

Day 7: Salta

"A walk with the clouds"

Today  you'll fly from Mendoza airport to Salta. Located in the far north west of Argentina, Salta shares  borders with Chile, Bolivia and Paraguay. It stands out from other Argentine provinces for its geographic and climatic diversity. On one side of the province you have the desert coldness of the Andes and the high-altitude grassy plains of the Puna. On the other side you have the sub-tropical heat of the Yungas jungle, with cool fertile valleys, mountains and rivers in between.  Upon arrival you will meet your guide and take your transfer to Sheraton Salta Hotel

In the afternoon you will have the chance to know more about the colonial city of Salta in a half day tour. Salta City is outstanding amongst other Argentinean capitals due to its colonial past, reflected in its traditions and architecture. You’ll visit its churches and most remarkable historical monuments and colonial houses, the Old Cabildo (Town Hall), the Cathedral, San Francisco Church, San Bernardo Convent.  From San Bernardo Hill you  will enjoy a panoramic view of the city and the Lerma Valley. You'll then visit  San Lorenzo ravine, summer borough located 12 minute drive from downtown.  On the way back, you will visit the handicraft market, a local and colorful exhibition of beautiful handicrafts from different cultures of the region. 
You will finally have a delicious welcome dinner at Folk House “La Vieja Estación”, where the most traditional groups perform every evening to delight visitors with local music and dances. Enjoy!

Day 8: Salta

Today, after breakfast, get prepared for a wonderful and exciting day! You will enjoy  a full day tour to Humahuaca and visit many interesting sites with incredible beauty and rich in history.  Your first stop will be at Purmamarca, town of Pre-Hispanic origin where a dazzling show of reflected light earns the mountains the nickname "Painter's Palette" due to its incredible combination and variety of colors. You'll also visit the Cabildo (old Town Hall), the beautiful Handicrafts Market, the Church (from 1648) and the many centuries old "Algarrobo" (carob tree), below which General Manuel Belgrano rested one afternoon in 1814 during his Northern Campaign. Without a doubt the village of Purmamarca is the most remarkable in this area, with its native building style  with a muddy substance extracted from the marshy lakes, which appears to be splashed on the adobe mud-walls. You will continue the trip to Tilcara, a village built chiefly of sun-baked clay brick (3500 m) with its Pucará ("fortress") 70 meters above the river Grande, from which the whole region can be admired. You will be able to see how this old civilization lived, visiting  the Archaeological Museum on your own, to understand the practices and customs of that time. You willonce again  take  Route 9, passing through Huacalera, with its monolith showing the "Tropic of Capricorn".

You will then arrive in Uquia, an old aboriginal settlement. The Chapel of Uquia, declared National Historical Monument is simply outstanding. You will finally arrive at Humahuaca ( 2.940 Meters above sea level), an old omaguacas Indian settlement. Humahuaca is a traditional village founded about four hundred years ago alongside the Grande River , surrounded by hills. You'll visit the Cathedral built by Spaniards in 1641 adorned with carvings and paintings, the Monument to the Independence (1950) in which a running "chasqui" (Indian courier or messenger) is represented, the Handicrafts Market and sightseeing around its typical streets and adobe houses.

You will Return to Salta City along National Route 9 by late afternoon to rest after another spectacular tour in Argentina.

Day 9: Salta

Today, after a delicious breakfast you will depart for another incredible full day tour. 

The tour begins in the Lerma Valley, passing through tobacco fields and towns with colonial architecture such as Alemania, which used to be the end point of the Belgrano railway. You will continue to the Quebrada del Río Las Conchas where the curious formations eroded by the wind and water will be the main attraction: the dunes, the toad, the bishop, the devil's throat, the castles, the amphitheater, among others. Then you will continue along National Route 68 arriving at Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaquí Valleys internationally recognized for the strains of its wines, particularly the aromatic Torrontés, which can be tasted on visits to its wineries, whether they are artisanal. or industrially produced. You will return to Salta by the same route, but with a completely different sunlight whose lighting will completely modify the stunning  landscape in the ravine.

After this incredible experience, you will return to the Hotel to rest.

Day 10: Puerto Iguazu

"Wonders of nature"

Just like something very unstoppable, this action-packed trip just doesn't stop. Today, your flight will take you to Iguazu where you'll have the most breathtaking experiences. Upon arrival you'll be greeted by yet another experienced guide who will help you get checkd in to Loi suites Iguazu Hotel.

Day 11: Puerto Iguazu

 

Full day tour of Argentinean Falls

Today's source of awe will be your visit to the Argentinean side of the spectacular Iguassu Falls, considered one of the Natural Wonders of the World. First stop will be the Visitors Center, an impressive structure with giant panels demonstrating the importance of the biodiversity of this subtropical rainforest. To get to the boardwalks overlooking the falls, you'll board a gas-propelled train that will take you to the Upper Falls Circuit and the Devil's Throat. The walking tour here will astound you over its two hours. To visit the Devil's Throat, you'll jump on the train at the Cataratas Station. Upon arrival, you'll take a boardwalk to the balconies for an amazing panoramic view of this magnificent work of nature. Just close your eyes and feel the Mother Nature's awesome power!

Day 12: End of Itinerary

Today you'll make an early departure to visit the Brazilian Side of the Iguassu Falls . You will arrive at the Visitors Center, located 10 kms from the heart of the Park and will be transferred on specially conditioned buses to the catwalks for a walking tour of approximately 1 kilometer where you'll will admire the spectacular falls from different viewpoints.
At the end of the catwalk you will find a fantastic close-up encounter with the Devil's Throat and main falls.

In the afternoon, after this incredible last tour,  you will take the transfer to Foz do Iguacu (IGU) or Puerto Iguazu (IGR) Airports to board a flight to your next destination.
