On arrival collect your hired car and make your way to your accommodation in Windhoek.
Depending on your arrival time you could do a Windhoek City tour or a Katutura Township Tour.
On arrival at the lodge you do a scenic drive through the Kalahari. The Gondwana Kalahari Park will make a terrific impression on you. The area is more than 100 km and is situated 30km north-east of Mariental. Animals like springbok, oryx, ostriches, jackals, hares and porcupines live in the dunes and valleys. This is the perfect way of getting acquainted with the Kalahari Desert.
Head to the Fish River Canyon for some exceptional scenery of the second largest canyon in the world.
Head to Aus where the wild horses of the Namib have roamed this harsh habitat since 1915
Free day to visit Luderitz and or Kolmanskop ( desert/ghost town) which offers the opportunity to take incredible photographs
The route from Aus is along the eastern border of the Namib-Naukluft National Park and you can see glimpses of red dunes to the west and black peaks of the escarpment to the east
Explore the incredible dunes of Sossusvlei - you can self drive or book a guided excursions to Sossusvlei and then on your return if you want some adventure you can do some quad biking at the resort - on one of the lodges Quad-Bikes follow the trails in the desert with a guide and experience the breath-taking nature and surroundings of Le Mirage. The trails will take you to some unique spots and the guide will inform you on the hidden secrets of the desert like the fairy circles. Your afternoon quad-bike tour will end with a striking sun-downer overlooking the Namib Desert. You will drive by yourself accompanied by the guide. The tour is easily accessible, so you don’t have to be an experienced driver.
Drive via Walvis Bay to Swakopmund - stop to visit the flamingo filled lagoon en route
Two free days to relax mid journey or optional excursions include a living desert tour where you track chameleons, snakes, skinks, scorpions, lizards and other small creatures and learn more about the area's desert ecology. The tour ends on a dune overlooking the Atlantic Ocean after a dune drive
You can also take a guided trip to see the Welwitchia moon landscape just outside Swakopmund
Take a walk along the 100 year old jetty in Swakopmund and through to town to see the German architecture if you are feeling adventurous try some sandboarding or kayaking or visit the lagoon of Sandwich Harbour.
Drive via the Skeleton Coast to Twyfelfontein
Free day to visit Bushman rock art sites at Twyfelfontein , explore Spitzkoppe and the Petrified Forest or marvel at the Burnt Mountain and Organ Pipes.
Set off after breakfast to get to Opuwo in time for an afternoon optional excursion to a traditional Himba Village to meet the Himba people of Kaokoland with a guide / interpreter of one of the last remaining nomadic tribes of Africa. You will have time to ask questions while your guide answers and explains the Himbas intricate traditions, customs and belief

Head into Etosha for some game viewing .
3 full days in Etosha area to do self guided game drives or you can book onto open sided safari vehicle game drives
Drive through Etosha from the west to the east side.
Another day to either self drive in search of game or you can book onto open sided safari vehicle game drive (morning or afternoon)
Start heading south back towards Windhoek but overnight in the Waterberg Plateau National Park . The plateau is largely inaccessible so in the early 1970s several of Namibia's endangered species were translocated there to protect them from predators and poaching to extinction.
Make your way back to Windhoek in time for your departing flight .
