Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel in the vibrant Waterfront region - Subject to the time of your arrival arrangements, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure to explore the Waterfront and surrounds on foot.

After being collected at your hotel nice and early you will arrive in Simons Town and meet the shark dive team before taking 30 minute boat ride to seal island. Based on what the weather is doing, they will decide on the best spot to weigh anchor and begin attracting sharks to the vessel.

After returning to Simons Town, there is time for lunch before the afternoon activities.

About 5 minutes outside of Simon’s Town, you will reach the Boulders Beach Penguin Colony – Home to 3000 African Penguins, where you can experience these delightful birds up close in their own habitat.

Thereafter wind your way through beautiful scenery to Cape Point. Breathe the crisp clean air of the ocean as you take in some incredible views. The area is of rich cultural and historical significance and includes monuments to early explorers such as Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias.

There is no shortage of HIKING routes on Table Mountain – more than 900 if you include climbing routes. These can be mixed and matched into innumerable variations to provide a lifetime of hiking and climbing. We include tickets on the famous cableway down the mountain once you have completed your hike, as well as hotel transfers. Our team in Cape Town is the only guiding company that offers hikes up every single route on Table Mountain. This means that we have a reservoir of options to give you the ultimate hiking experience. Hiking routes vary in length, nature and difficulty: the easiest follows well-defined paths and leads up rock steps, with minimal scrambling and exposure to heights (vertical drops); the hardest traverses bushy and broken terrain and involves lots of scrambling and exposure to heights.

Depart the city for the charming French town of Franschoek, nestled in the heart of the breath-taking Cape Winelands. Meet your cycling guide before gearing up for a leisurely ride through historic vineyards, stopping at various estates en route to sample the nectar of the Gods. The length of the ride and routing can be varied depending on preferences and fitness levels.

The Cape Winelands are some of the most beautiful in the world, with a heritage that lives on in exquisitely preserved historic estates boasting a rich 400-year old winemaking tradition, producing some of the world's most celebrated wines.

Take in a leisurely lunch at one of the fabulous local restaurants. The region boasts beautifully preserved Cape Dutch architecture, museums, galleries and shops which can be visited in the late afternoon before returning to your hotel.

Notes:

→ Grade: Easy. Slight incline on the ride into Franschoek and a short hill in the village. Note that sections of this ride are on the busy R45, but there is a good hard shoulder to ride in.

→ Alternative Routes: alternatives exist for more serious riders to include the Robertsvlei Valley route (an extra 10km), or to push the ride out along the R45 to include the wine farms of Graham Beck, L'Ormarins or Solms-Delta.

This morning you will be collected from your hotel and transferred back to Cape Town airport in time for your flight up to Mashatu, via Johannesburg.

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred in a safari vehicle to Tented Camp.

After your morning drive and breakfast you will be transferred to Mashatu Airstrip and fly directly back to Johannesburg International Airport. Where your safari ends with your onward arrangement. We look forward to having you join us again soon, on yet another African safari experience
