Upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro Airport in Arusha, you will be met by Boutique Safari owner, Abby Olemisiko ("Ole"), and transferred to Kahawa House.

Today we drive out to visit the Engaruka Community Initiative Organization (“ENCO)” which provides health, education, and economic empowerment services and programs to improve the lives of women and children in rural Maasai communities.
Boutique Safaris is heavily involved in the Engaruka Community Initiative Organization (ENCO) which was founded by Martha Olemisiko in 2014. They developed a school to provides quality English-based education to pastoralist Maasai children and prepares them for the national secondary school entrance exams. The school and its approach are unique in that it provides an English language-based primary school education to Maasai youth. The EEMP school also serves as a safe home for vulnerable girls who for different reasons are denied their rights for education in exchange for dowry and child labor.
Visit and assist this worthwhile organization!

Today we make our way to the iconic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The Ngorongoro Crater, located in northern Tanzania, is one of the most extraordinary natural wonders in Africa. It is the world's largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera, formed about 2 to 3 million years ago when a large volcano exploded and collapsed. The crater is the world’s largest intact crater, covering an area of 304 square kilometers and is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We will settle into the Ngorongoro Farm House Valley for the next 2 nights. Farm House Valley was built on a 500 acre plantation with a main central building with a restaurant and leisure area. Every afternoon a fire is lit and drinks and snacks are available for guests whilst they share their experiences of the day and compare the different animals they have seen in the park.
Maybe enjoy a guided walk in the afternoon around the farm and the vegetable garden. An opportunity to see how an organic farm works.
The whole 26 room hotel has been conceived to offer the maximum comfort and a touch of luxury in an impressive scene. The ideal place to relax, have a swim in the pool, go jogging or let yourself be tampered after a day of adventures.

Today we will get an early start to Ngorongoro Crater for a day on safari. We will enjoy a picnic lunch down in the crater at a special spot.
The Ngorongoro Crater, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," is a breathtaking natural wonder nestled in the highlands of Tanzania. Formed over two million years ago, this ancient volcanic caldera spans about 100 square miles and boasts one of the most diverse ecosystems on the planet. The crater's steep walls create a natural enclosure for a wide variety of wildlife, including the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros—making it a prime destination for wildlife enthusiasts.
The Ngorongoro Crater is also home to a significant population of Maasai people, who coexist harmoniously with the area's wildlife. Their presence adds a rich cultural dimension to the natural beauty of the region. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater offers visitors a unique opportunity to witness the intricate balance of nature and human history in one of the most stunning settings in the world.
Get back to your lodge to enjoy a swim in the pool!

Today we head out to the central Serengeti. September is part of the dry season, so vegetation is thinner, making wildlife easier to spot. The weather is typically warm during the day and cooler at night, with minimal rainfall, making it an ideal time for game drives and photography.

Today we venture further north into the Northern Serengeti, which in September is a truly magical place, offering one of nature's most awe-inspiring spectacles: the Great Migration in full swing. During this time, massive herds of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle move across the Mara River in search of greener pastures, often facing dramatic river crossings where crocodiles and swift currents add a raw, untamed element to the journey.
This region is known for its rolling hills, open woodlands, and acacia-dotted plains, providing a striking contrast to the more open grasslands of the Southern Serengeti. The landscape is lush and vibrant following the earlier rains, and wildlife is abundant—not just the migratory herds, but also resident lions, elephants, giraffes, leopards, and a wide array of birdlife.
We will make our way to Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp - a mobile camp strategically situated in north Serengeti, ideal for exploring the Mara Ecosystem. The camp offers comfortable accommodation together with the unique opportunity to enjoy a real safari experience on a camp. In its comfortable tents one will feel completely immersed in the surroundings and one can enjoy the rich animal life and vegetation of the area.
An original form of accommodation which resembles the old camps of the first explorers in Africa, with all the commodities of today. The camp has been designed to cause a minimum impact on the environment. All of the infrastructure is mobile and the philosophy of the company is not to leave anything behind.
Accommodations: Mara Kati Kati (3 nights) - family tent can be requested.
