Day 1: N'Djamena

After clearing the entry formalities at the airport you will be met in the arrivals area and then a very short transfer to the hotel so you can relax after your long journey to get here which we recommend doing coming through Paris on Air France.

Days 2 - 8: Zakouma National Park

A charter flight today from N'Djamena through to Zakouma - it is a 2 hour flight in a Cessna Caravan C208. On arrival your Zakouma safari starts right from the airstrip with a game drive into camp.

The camp is the original government owned safari lodge built many years ago, so being the first it is in a great locality as a base to explore this entire park. It has had some basic refurbishments since the park was put under the management of African Parks, but still nothing fancy but all functional with en-suite flush loos and showers, 24 hour power and lighting even wi-fi is available.

Each day we will try and explore not only the wetlands but some of the surrounding areas and river systems and we have the flexibility to do bush walks, night drives and if we want to go fly camping to explore really remote areas of this incredible park.

Days 9 - 14: Chad

A charter flight from Zakouma  through to the Ennedi area where we will be met by our hosts and transferred into camp. Every where you go will give incredible views through and over the sandstone carved by the winds and sand of the Sahara over millennia. You will  look into how the Sahara looked before it really dried out 10, 000 years ago to how we know it today so you can still see very remote communities of people living here with their camel herds and even crocodiles that still exist in the tiny and larger bodies of water that give life to this vast and unexplored wilderness.

Day 15: End of Itinerary

Today we fly from Enneddi back to N'Djamena the plan would be to try and arrive back into N'Djamena early afternoon so you could get the day use of a room to relax in readiness for your outward flight in the evening.
