Tinga Camp is set on the banks of the Tinga River, surrounded by impressive tamarind trees. This is a classic rondavel style camp, consisting of a total of 20 chalets. 12 are standard and 8 are refurbished to superior standard. Each room has en-suite facilities, mosquito nets and ceiling fans. Tinga's comfortable main area has wonderful views over the surrounding bush, and is the ideal spot to relax, do some birding or visit the underground hide within walking distance. The camp serves an eclectic mix of Chadian and Western cuisine, and also offers bush dinners. The camp is in the heart of an excellent game viewing area and to explore this beautiful and inspirational park, the camp offers game drives and night drives in open 4x4 vehicles and bush walks. A visit to the local community market is also a highlight of a visit to Zakouma.
Access to the camp is by charter flight from N’djamena the capital of Chad and we recommend over- nighting there before flying out to the camp. For local clientele, the large main area is an ideal space to host a conference, corporate workshop or team-building event.

Camp Warda is operated by SVS Chad, they have been exploring and learning about this area for over 30 years establishing long relationships with local communities and finding the most incredible places within this vast and un explored part of Africa which gives us a glimpse into what life in the Sahara was like when it was a much wetter environment before drying out to how we know it today. A fascinating and spectacular place to explore.
The camp has large walk in tents with standard beds and a shared bathroom and toilet facility. It is all basic but comfortable and fits perfectly with its environment giving it the lightest touch, in this fragile and special place.
