Arrive at Bole International Airport in Addis. Met on arrival transfer to your hotel for your overnight.
Picked up from your hotel after breakfast, transfer to the airport. Catch the early morning flight departing at 08h00 to Bahir Dar. Met upon arrival, transfer to Kuriftu Resort & Spa. After checking in, start your day of exploring Bahir Dar.
Note, depending on availability, you may not be able to check in to a room yet as check in time is 2pm.
In Bahir Dar boat trip on Lake Tana across to the pinnacles and visit the monasteries on the lake. You may also visit the hippo pools.
After breakfast at around 08h30, depart Bahir Dar and drive to Gondar arriving in time for lunch. Check in at Goha hotel, thereafter spend the afternoon visiting the historical sites of Gondar including The Royal Enclosure, Baths of King Fasiles, Debra Ban Church and The Kuskum Church.
After breakfast transfer to the airport and catch the 09h10 departure flight to Lalibela. Picked up on arrival, transfer to Maribela. Spend the afternoon visiting the churches of Lalibela.
Today you have a full day at Lalibela. In the morning you may decide to visit the rest of the remaining churches you did not visit yesterday. Or you may decide to relax this morning and walk around Lalibela and visit the churches in the afternoon.
Morning transfer to the airport to catch the 10h05 flight to Axum arriving at 10h45. Picked up on arrival check in at the hotel and enjoy breakfast before heading out to the Axum historical sites.
You may decide to do a full day's walking tour with your guide visiting all the sites by foot including the Archeological museum, the Main Stellafield, Sheba's palace, King Kaleb's tomb, and Ezana's stone enscription.
After breakfast transfer to Gheralta Lodge arriving around noon. In the afternoon you may decide to visit one of the famous rock churches nearby. If it is a Saturday a visit to the local market can be fun.
After an early breakfast trek to the Abuna Yematah Goh rock church. This is quite a climb including some parts which can be challenging for those who are afraid of heights. If you are not comfortable with heights, there are other rock-hewn churces one can visit. In the afternoon you may decide to do another hike or relax at lodge overlooking the beautiful Tigray mountains.
After breakfast, transfer to Mekele airport. En route you may decide to visit the Abreha wa Atseba church.
Take the schedule flight from Mekele to Addis Ababa and then check in for your International flight home / or to your next destination.
