Day 1: Boston

Fly from the UK to Boston today.

Upon your arrival at Boston's Logan International Airport, you will be met by your greeter in the arrivals lounge. Your greeter will take you to your car and driver who will whisk you away to your hotel. Dinner reservations can be made based on your arrival time and culinary preferences.

Day 2: Boston

Start your day with a visit to Harvard University for a private tour with a student. Highlights of your tour include a special visit to the world famous miniature flowers exhibit at the University's Museum of Natural History. Tour the campus and see its historic sites and have lunch at the private Faculty Club.

After lunch, return to central Boston for a historical tour with an expert guide of the Freedom Trail, highlighting some of the most important sites of the American Revolution. Take a private tour of the Old State House which was the legislative hub of Massachusetts during British rule before having a private after-hours tour of the Old North Church, where the revolution began with Paul Revere's historic ride.

Day 3: Westerly

Pick up your rental car and begin your drive to Rhode Island, America's smallest state. Stop along the way in Providence to visit Brown University, one of the oldest academic institutions in the United States and another of the country's prestigious Ivy League schools.

From there, drive another 2 hours to Westerly located on the Atlantic coast. Upon arrival, take a stroll on one of the most beautiful beaches in New England before retiring to a gourmet dinner at your iconic Relais & Chateaux resort

Day 4: Westerly

This morning, drive to nearby Newport for a classic day on the water. Begin with a private tour of one of New England's most famous mansions from the gilded age, located right on the ocean. Then see the mansions and amazing scenery from another vantage point, cruising Narragansett Bay on an antique motor yacht with a snack of fresh seafood and champagne.

Then have lunch overlooking the water at a gourmet hotel on the ocean before heading back to Ocean House to enjoy its facilities, spa and the beach.

Day 5: Connecticut

Take a scenic two-hour drive on country roads to the state of Connecticut and your next hotel stop. The drive is one of the most picturesque over tiny country bridges and through quaint country towns. Spend the rest of the day on your own relaxing at your unique Relais & Chateaux country resort and have a delicious dinner at Winvian this evening.

Day 6: Connecticut

Today, get your first taste of New England rural life. Spend the day visiting the charming towns of Litchfield County, browsing at local antique shops or doing more adventurous activities such as biking, canoeing, or kayaking. This evening perhaps enjoy dinner at one of Litchfield County’s top restaurants.

Day 7: Lenox

This morning begin your 1.5 hour drive to Lenox, Massachusetts. Lenox is in the heart of the Berkshires - a hilly region known for its famous arts programs which move from Boston every summer. Upon arrival at your hotel, relax and enjoy your afternoon and dinner at the resort.

Day 8: Lenox

Today is all about the arts. In the morning, you will meet your guide at MASS MoCA and engage in a private tour of Building 6. MASS MoCA is one of the largest centers for contemporary visual art and performing arts in the United States. Building 6 is just one of the buildings on the campus but at three stories tall with each floor measuring an acre of space, the building offers half of the total exhibition space of the space of the campus. Your guide will provide an engaging tour to promote an interactive experience as you view and contemplate the masterpieces selected to be housed in Building 6. Your hour long tour will be tailored to your interest and provide a highlight of the collection.

Then visit the highly regarded Norman Rockwell Museum in historic Stockbridge, Massachusetts for a private guided tour of museum and grounds. Norman Rockwell captured candid American life in striking paintings that invoke emotion. The galleries present an illustrated chronicle of American life and our nation’s ideals of kindness, tolerance, democracy, and freedom illuminated by Rockwell’s spirit, wisdom and gentle humor. The museum houses the most significant public collection of Norman Rockwell's work in the world.

After a 1-hour highlights tour of the museum's collection, you will venture outside to enjoy a guided stroll on the stunning grounds surrounding the museum. Set against the scenic Berkshire landscape, this low impact 45-minute walk passes Rockwell's studio and various sculptures by Peter Rockwell, the youngest son of Norman Rockwell.

Day 9: Woodstock

This morning, drive two hours through the beautiful landscapes of Vermont to the Green Mountains. On the way visit local artisans, see some famous Vermont bridges and enjoy lunch in Woodstock before arriving at your next stop, the luxurious Twin Farms resort. Upon arrival settle in and enjoy a delicious dinner at Twin Farms.

Day 10: Woodstock

Today, enjoy some of the many activities (all included) at Twin Farms such as biking around the property, canoeing on the nearby lake, hiking or visiting the unique on-site Japanese baths.

Day 11: Overnight Travel

After you check out of your hotel, make your way back to Boston in time for your departure home.
