Day 1: Cape Town

Welcome to the world of Travel and Impact !

From the moment you land, you can rely on us to assist you with travel arrangements and facilitate interactions with your change-making entrepreneur.

You will be greeted by our English-speaking representative who will guide you through the planning and travel documents, answer all your questions, and remain your main point of contact during your journey.

The rest of the day is at leisure, providing time to relax before we commence our journey.

This week will be spent exploring the city and its surroundings, providing you with a comprehensive insight into the company's life, team, and projects.

To ensure a well-rounded understanding of the company dynamics, we recommend a balanced schedule – half of the time dedicated to company-related activities and the other half immersing yourself in the country's culture, economy, and politics. Our immersion activities are designed to go beyond typical tourist experiences, offering a real-life encounter with the business environment.

Day 2: Cape Town

Here's a proposed itinerary for your first week:

Morning: Immersion language and culture class. Our facilitator specializing in welcoming diplomats and expats will guide you through a brief and entertaining language and culture class after breakfast.

Afternoon: Meet & Greet. Visit the company, get introduced to local teams, and have a meeting with senior management to discuss the scope of work.

Day 3: Cape Town

Morning: Visit a previous project. Understand its scope, challenges, potential, and scalability.

Afternoon: City walking tour with a guide. Gain a sense of direction, learn about the city's history, and observe how small companies operate on the ground.

Day 4: Cape Town

Morning: Coaching day. Meet with senior management to discuss first findings, and how it impacts plan for the future.

Afternoon: Explore beyond the city. Our tour guide will take you to areas surrounding the city, revealing how life and work varies across regions.

Day 5: Cape Town

Morning: Team day. Spend time with the local team on a project to understand the on-the-ground situation, team dynamics, and company culture.

Afternoon: Explore the city key attractions. Each city as a couple of unmissable places to visit: a museum, botanical garden, landmark, or scenic spots.

Day 6: Cape Town

Morning: Business Plan day. Translate your understanding of the vision into a 5-year business plan encompassing sales, marketing, operations, admin, and finance strategies.

Afternoon: Artisan and atelier tour. Discover the city's best and most unique products.

Morning: Debrief breakfast with CEO/Directors. Plan how the relationship could continue and evolve in the future.

Day 8: iSimangaliso Wetland Park

Breakfast at your Guest House

This morning, you will head towards Cape Town airport (+/- 01h20 drive) to catch your domestic flight to your next stop: St Lucia, its World Heritage Site and its hippos!

Departure of your flight to Durban

On arrival, you will collect your luggage and your Toyota Fortuner rental car (automatic gearbox).

Then off to the iSimangaliso Nature Reserve (approx. 2h30).

Check-in at Makakatana Bay Lodge, the only lodge inside the reserve.

In the afternoon, you will set off on your first game drive in 4x4. The abundance of giraffes in this region is a fascinating sight. Other animals often seen on the western banks include hyena, zebra, wildebeest, buffalo and fallow deer.

Return to the lodge after sunset and enjoy dinner.

Day 9: iSimangaliso Wetland Park

After your  breakfast, you'll enjoy a 4x4 safari through the western banks to the boat, where the skipper will be eagerly awaiting your arrival. Enjoy a two-hour cruise along Africa's largest estuarine system. You'll see crocodiles and numerous hippos, as well as birds (530 species in the region).

In the middle of the day, you will enjoy a picnic lunch served by the lake before returning to the lodge.

The rest of the day is free to enjoy the lodge, the swimming pool or the comfort of your room.

Day 10: Maputaland Marine Protected Area

This morning, if you wish, you can set off on the last game drive of your stay, before returning to the lodge for breakfast.

Then you will drive, for the iSimangaliso Park region (approx 03h00), to discover another part of KwaZulu Natal. Classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this is one of the most incredible and densely biodiverse areas in the world. 

You will stay at Thonga Beach Lodge, nestled between forest and ocean, and will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your stay.

This afternoon, you will have the opportunity to choose 1 exceptional activity from among the following (included): 

  • Snorkelling (surface diving with mask & snorkel)

Day 12: andBeyond Phinda Private Game Reserve

Breakfast at your lodge

If you have time this morning, you can enjoy one last exceptional activity.

Then you'll head off for your new accommodation - AndBeyond Phinda Mountain Lodge (approx 02h10).

The lodge is situated in the Phinda Private Game Reserve, in the heart of Kwazulu Natal and known for its large population of black rhino and cheetah, as well as its famous Big 5

The beauty of the lodge and its landscape will take your breath away, and you will have the opportunity to take 4x4 game drives in intimate open vehicles.

Lunch at the lodge 

In the afternoon, you will set off on a game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, accompanied by an English-speaking ranger and in groups (maximum 6 people per vehicle).

Return to the lodge after sunset and dinner.

Day 14: Mlilwane Game Sanctuary

06h00: Wake up early for your first game drive of the day.

09h00: Return to the lodge in the early morning for a hearty breakfast.

You will then drive to Swaziland (kingdom of Eswatini) to Mlilwane Game Park (+/- 03h50 drive), the country's oldest game reserve. You will stay at the magnificent Reilly's Rock Hilltop Lodge.

Day 15: Hazyview

Breakfast at your guest house

You will then drive to the small town of Hazyview (approx 04h00).

Check-in at Summerfield Rose Retreat & Spa.

You can then set off for an afternoon of exceptional discoveries: the Blyde River Canyon, the third largest canyon in the world and the 1st green canyon! You will take the Panorama Road, which allows you to make regular stops to discover waterfalls, surprising geological formations, magnificent views over the Lowveld and small villages that seem to have been frozen in time. 

We recommend the following stops 

  • Graskop, where you can take the panoramic lift down into the gorge 50 metres below. It is also possible to take walks.
  • God's Window
  • Wonder View
  • Lisbon Falls
  • Berlin Falls
  • Bourke's Luck Potholes
  • Blyde River Canyon Viewpoint (Three Rondavels).

Day 16: Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

Breakfast at the lodge

You will then drive to the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve (approx 01h30), which is adjacent to the Kruger Park and shares no fences with the park so that the animals can roam freely. This reserve is known for its high concentration of leopards and other Big 5.

Arrive at Lion Sands River Lodge and enjoy lunch.

In the afternoon, you will set off on a game drive in an open 4x4 vehicle, accompanied by your ranger.

Return to the lodge after sunset and enjoy dinner.

You will then take the road to Nelspruit Mpumalanga Airport (approx 02h30) where you will drop off your hire car. 

Depart on your domestic flight to Johannesburg OR Tambo to catch your international flight.

On arrival, check-in for your international flight.
