Met at Nairobi International airport for the drive across town to Wilson Domestic airport from where you will fly to Masai Mara North airstrip, a mere 45-minutes away. Game drive your way to Serian Camp set on the banks of the Mara River within the Mara North Conservancy, one of the most wildlife-rich zones in the world. ‘Mara’ in the language of the Masai means ‘spotted’ or ‘dotted’, and indeed, the landscape is littered with game.



Serian is the first of Alex’s charismatic camps, and it’s set along the banks of the Mara, bursting with laughing pods of languorous hippo. ‘Mara’ is the Masai word for ‘dotted’,and indeed this rich zone is littered with wildlife wherever you look – famed for its sheer density of game, this is the perfect location to kick off your safari. Explore in one of our safari vehicles, or take a walk on the wild side and head out on foot – both will bring different levels and layers to your experience... And top it off with a nocturnal adventure: take a bush dinner and red-filter spotlights and discover what the wilderness has to offer by way of nightlife.

Nkorombo is nestled in a stunning little spot on a bend in the Mara River, embodying the laid-back intimacy characteristic of Alex’s camps. Awaken feeling part of a nature documentary amidst lions, zebras and buffaloes... This reserve takes its name from the Masai word for ‘dotted’, and indeed the gently rolling grasslands are littered with wildlife. Birds, too, are prolific.

After breakfast, game drive your way to Musiara airstrip from where you will board your small aircraft for the short flight to Migori airstrip on the Kenya's side of the border. Clear immigration and transfer by road a short distance to the Tanzanian border to repeat the immigration process. Once done, you will continue your flight to Mwiba airstrip. Game drive to Serian's Serengeti South camp, your base for the next 4 nights.



Leaving the Mara River behind, our Serengeti South camp takes you to the extreme tip of the savannah. Set on the edge of the short-grass plains that host the million-strong wildebeest birthing season, it’s hard to imagine a more stunning location to wrap up your adventure. Dramatic storms sweep in new life, and babies and attendant predators are everywhere. Flora bursts forth, fields of wildflowers bloom, and the striking contrast of red Masai against the emerald background makes for a perfect palette. Part of the beauty of this spot is the Masai way of life in its most natural state – and the other part is the opportunity to explore on foot: stretch your legs and open your senses to immersion in this wild space, as our local guides show you to see through their eyes.

Head North to the Kusini Area where the woodlands meet the open plains of the serengeti. This is Wildebeest heaven when the herds have arrived on the Southern plains.



The Kusini campsite is tucked under a canopy of striking Tortilis trees, in a woodland that the wildebeest weave through as they search for grazing and birthing spots. Set west of Ndutu, this secret little spot combines delicious solitude with unparalleled game viewing: idyllic for winding up your trip.

After breakfast, make your way to Serengeti South airstrip for your flight to Nairobi International Airport (NBO) for your journey back home, via Tarime and Migori where you cross back into Kenya.
Optionally return to Arusha or Kilimanjaro and extend your safari to Tanzania's Coast or Southern parks.
