Your destination today at the Fish River Canyon is one of the highlights and offers a spectacular landscape experience as the largest canyon in Africa. The region is world-famous for the Fish River Canyon Hiking Trail, which runs around 88 km to Ais-Ais. Short, guided hiking trails and unforgettable nature drives at sunset are also popular.
Your journey leads you to the charming coastal village of Lüderitz. Just outside lies the ghost town of Kolmanskop. This previously bustling diamond town is now abandoned and struggles constantly against being buried under the shifting sand dunes of the Namib desert.
The NamibRand Nature Reserve is a private nature reserve established to protect and conserve the unique ecology and wildlife of the Namib Desert. Designated as an International Dark Sky Reserve, the night sky is spectacular. Take time to appreciate the unpolluted star filled skies.
Enjoy a hearty breakfast early in the morning before continuing onto Sossusvlei. After your arrival, enjoy the spectacular landscape that surrounds your desert lodge. During your stay, you have the opportunity to visit the highest dune, Big Daddy, and Deadvlei, the famous viewpoints in this region.
Today we continue towards the coast of Namibia and the charming town of Swakopmund, famous for its German architecture. A popular tourist destination, well known for adventure activities like sandboarding and quad biking, as well as its scenic beaches, historic buildings, and vibrant local culture.
Today you travel to the southern Kunene region of Namibia, also known as Damaraland. Once inhabited by hunters and later by Khoikhoi pastoralists, you will embark on a historical and cultural journey during your stay and be impressed by ancient artifacts.
You will spend the next few days extensively with spectacular game viewing in Etosha National Park. During an optional game drive, explore the amazing wildlife from an open safari vehicle. Refreshments, snacks and entry to the national park are included. During your safari, learn many fascinating details about Etosha as a habitat.
Alongside lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas, Etosha is home to one of the most stable black rhino populations in the world. The famous Etosha Pan - a flat salt pan covering an area of 5,000 square kilometers - lies in the heart of the park.
Today you'll drive through the park in your own vehicle – have your camera ready for exciting wildlife photos. The park offers a fascinating opportunity to experience diverse landscapes and abundant wildlife. In the afternoon, you'll arrive at your next bush lodge. Relax or participate in other activities.
Your next destination is the Waterberg Plateau National Park, which gives you a sense of the vastness of the country. The flat landscape stretches for miles to the horizon and can be explored on a guided hike. Depending on offerings at your lodge, take part in the spectacular tracking of rhinos, which are native to this region. An experience that will be remembered for a long time.
Your last stop is Windhoek. During an optional city tour in the afternoon, you will explore some of the most important highlights of the former colonial city and delve into the city's modern history with sights such as the Tintenpalast, the Christuskirche, the old fortresses, the Imperial Secondary School and Heinitzburg and Sanderburg.
Drive to the airport and return of rental car. Check-in for your flight back home.
