On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta Airport, you will be met and assisted through immigration, collect your luggage, and exit the arrivals terminal where you meet your driver.
You transfer to Macushla House, a drive of about half an hour.

After breakfast, you transfer twenty minutes to Wilson Airport in time for the flight departing to Loisaba airstrip, a flight of about an hour.
On landing at Loisaba airstrip, you will be met and transferred to Tumaren Camp, a drive of about an hour.
Tumaren Camp is set on the edge of a wide plain this beautiful camp looks west towards beautiful granitic inselbergs that defines the local landscape. Each tent is furnished uniquely and all the tents offer sweeping verandas from which most of the plains game can be spotted. The grasslands are rich with wildlife and you can spend hours watching animals wander by or photographing the huge variety of birds coming to the bird bath.
This safari is perfect for those wanting a walking safari experience with the luxury of larger tents and home comforts . Tumaren is rich in wildlife and the Samburu and Masai guides provide a great perspective on not only the game but also the local cultures of Northern Kenya.
Your guides will plan the days according to your desires, wildlife and the local calendar. Each day can include guided walks, camel rides, game drives, birdwatching, picnics, tracking, visiting a local manyatta or market (if the day is right), visiting a school, rock climbing, or rafting in the river.
If you are interested your guide can arrange an early morning walk with a local troupe of baboons that have been studied for the last 20 years or a visit to the Mpala Research Centre to learn about the research projects that they are involved in.

Today, you will be transferred to Karisia Walking Camp where you will be greeted by your local team of cooks, camel guys, and trackers. The local Laikipia Masai call these rocks Nayasura and stone chippings suggest that they have been used as a camp for millennia. You too will use the rocks starting with a refreshing lunch and short rest in your classic roomy safari tents.
After lunch, you will head out on a short walk looking for game and as the sun begins to set you will find yourselves at the crest of Nayasura with drinks and bitings, watching the baboons come back to roost on the face of the rock.
You will walk back to camp and after hot showers and drinks around the fire you will have a sit down dinner under the stars.
Overnight - Nayasura Camp
Level of Walk: Moderate/Energetic – about 8 to 14kms each morning depending on your fitness levels with afternoon walks, fishing, rock climbing and football around camp.
Walks are designed for every fitness level. The walks are not a military march. There is alot of stopping to look at animals, insects, flowers and birds.

From Nayasura, you will head out early between 6-7.00 am, depending on the weather, to see as much game as possible on your walk north towards Nyarara Camp. Usually walks are about 4 to 5 hours including stops for wildlife and refreshments and arrive at your next camp before lunch.
Nyarara means cheetah in Masai and the camp was given this name because of a large male that has been seen in the area. You will walk across large plains as well as mixed bush looking for herds of Common and Grevy’s zebra, oryx and Grant’s gazelle which predominate on the large plains. In the mixed bush you find Dik Diks, Gerenuk, Impala and Lesser Kudu if you are lucky enough to see them.
The pack camels with your camp will have taken a more direct route than you and they will have arrived and set up the camp before your arrival.
You will arrive at camp in time for lunch and a cold drink. After lunch and a siesta you walk to a pretty spot for sundowners.
Overnight - Nyarara Camp

Today you will be heading down toward the Ewaso Nyiro River, which runs along the eastern edge of the Laikipia Plateau and then turns eastward toward Samburu National Reserve.
Along the way be on the lookout for eland, steinbuck and giraffe and enjoy the changing scenery. When you arrive at the river you may want to take a quick swim before lunch.
After lunch visit a local manyatta and watch the livestock coming in for the night or head to a pretty rock for a sundowner.
Overnight - Ewaso Camp

This morning you transfer to Karisia airstrip in time for the twenty minute charter flight departing to Lewa airstrip.
On landing, you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to Kifaru House. The house is a 20 minute drive from the airstrip, however you will game drive en route to camp arriving in time for lunch.
Kifaru House is perhaps the loveliest of the much revered Lewa Conservancy’s many gems. At the cutting edge of conservation and sustainability, the Conservancy is famed for its rigorously protected white and black rhinos, along with its full repertoire of free-ranging African beasts. Serene and private, Kifaru House’s thatched cottages, each a safari villa of its own, are splendid, intimate, and classically scenic places (glorious Mount Kenya rises just to the south) for a quintessential African experience.

You spend the next two days exploring Lewa Conservancy.
Activities at Kifaru House aren’t limited to classic game drives. Well guided evening horse backing is a lovely way to appreciate Lewa’s landscapes and animals, as are Maasai led camel treks in the rolling hills. And a Canopy Walk in the Ngare Ndare Forest Conservancy followed by a grandly arranged picnic gives you an eye-level view of a very African montane forest, with monkeys and dozens of bird species untroubled by your presence.

This morning you will be transferred to Lewa airstrip in time for the scheduled flight departing to the Masai Mara.
On landing, you will be met and transferred to Tangulia Camp with a game drive en route arriving in time for lunch.
Tangulia Mara Camp is a tented safari camp situated on a bend of the Mara River and overlooks the Olotulo-Murt springs and salt lick. With few natural salt licks in the Mara ecosystem, wildlife activity in front of the camp is constant with a variety of animals passing through.
The camp’s ideal location, just north of the Musiara area, allows easy access for game drives around the Musiara Marsh, the short grass plains, and Rhino Ridge, into the Reserve or across the Mara River bridge into the Mara Triangle which is west of the river. Both areas have rich biodiversity and offer prime wildlife and big cat viewing; and, during the migration, ready access to some of the main river-crossings.

You have the next two days enjoying the game viewing in the Masai Mara
Tangulia Mara Camp has embraced the safari spirit and tailored it into a once in a lifetime experience of the African Savanna for you. From guided safaris on foot, game drives in the park, cultural visits to the Maasai villages and breathtaking sundowners by the Mara River.

After a leisurely breakfast, your driver/guide will transfer you back to the airstrip in time for your scheduled flight to Nairobi, flying time of about 45 minutes.
On landing at Wilson Airport, you will be met and transferred to House of Waine where a day room has been reserved for you to freshen up and relax before your home-bound flight.
You will have a vehicle and driver at your disposal should you want to do any last minute shopping or visit the giraffe centre where you are able to feed the Rothschild Giraffes from a platform.
Later this evening you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and depart Africa.
