Day 1: Maryvale

Today you arrive into the spectacular locaiton that is Spicers Peak LOdge.

There are many things to enjoy while at Spicers Peak Lodge, one of them is doing nothing.  We can help you with that or a number of other activities. 

Explore the local area with a guide, relax while fishing or be totally pampered at Spa Anise Peak Lodge.

Days 2 - 3: Maryvale

These days are at your leisure to enjoy the surrounds.

Spicers has a strong commitment to the land. At the heart of all retreats there is a true love for the environment and a deep desire to see people experience the wonder of nature in a sustainable way.

Here are some experiences that are available while staying with Spicers - some are at additional cost:

  • Self Guided Walks - There is 8,000 acres of pristine wilderness to explore at Spicers Peak Lodge. With a selection of self guided walks from the ambling track around the lodge plateau to a more challenging hike to Ryan’s Lookout, there is plenty to suit all fitness levels and needs.\
  • Constellation by Campfire - Join your guide around the comfort of an evening campfire to experience the stars as they have been experienced by Aboriginal Australians for more than 40,000 years.
  • Campfire Canapes - Stroll to the highest point of the Lodge Plateau to enjoy sunset drinks around our crackling fire pit.  Enjoy canapes by the fire all while taking in the array of active wildlife at dusk.
  • Mountain biking - intermediate level! Not for the feint hearted.
  • Whiskey Master Class - Experience a selection of drams from around the world, comparing modern whiskies from Australia and Japan with classics from the traditional home of whisky – Scotland.
  • Cellermaster Wine and Cheese Tasting - Join our sommelier and taste your way through a selection of the country’s finest wines matched with local artisanal cheeses.
  • Sunset 4WD tour - Tackle the vast network of property mountain trails by 4×4 vehicle. Cruising down one ridgeline then up another, this is a chance to experience the true wilderness of Cedar Mountain, the home of Spicers Peak Lodge.
  • Mt Mitchell Hike - Beginning at the southern side of Cunningham’s Gap leave the noisy highway behind and hear the soundscape change to chirping bird calls and the scuffling of pademelons amongst the undergrowth.
  • Mt Cordeaux and Bare Rock - From the northern side of Cunningham’s Gap follow the winding trail hiking to Mt Cordeaux through vibrant rainforest, listening out for the flawless mimicry and perhaps even a glimpse of the threatened Albert’s Lyrebird known to inhabit the mountainside.
  • Miller Vale Creek Walk - at additional cost
  • RiverRun Private helicopter Flight - Enjoy a picturesque helicopter flight over the stunning Scenic Rim to land at the beautiful and secluded RiverRun Gardens, located at the bottom of Brown Falls.
  • Signature expereince - Take to the sky with a scenic helicopter flight like no other. As you depart from Spicers Peak Lodge, heading east across the Main Range National Park, take in the sights of Mount Mitchell, Mount Cordeaux and Spicers Peak Saddle. Winding through the Great Dividing Range, a clearing opens atop your private mountain destination – Mount Mistake.

Day 4: End of Itinerary

Today you depart Spicers Peak and continue under your own arrangements.
