Your exciting 7-day safari adventure begins with a scenic drive from Entebbe to Lake Mburo National Park, located in western Uganda. Being the smallest game park in the country, the park has a diverse ecosystems including savannas, woodlands and wetlands. On our to the park, we will have a stopover at the equator in Masaka for photos and lunch. Continuing to the park, we will embark on an afternoon game drive, where you should expect to see zebras, impalas, crested crane, elands and a variety of antelopes as well as bird and tree species. Later in the early evening, we will check into our lodge and enjoy a relaxing dinner.

Start the day with a guided nature walk through Lake Mburo National Park, offering a rare opportunity to explore the wilderness on foot. Accompanied by a ranger, you’ll get up close to wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species while learning about the park’s ecosystem. After breakfast and a relaxed checkout, we’ll depart for Kibale National Park, a lush tropical forest renowned for its primate population. The drive will take approximately 4 to 5 hours, passing through rural landscapes and vibrant trading centers. Upon arrival in Kibale, you’ll check in at your lodge and unwind for the evening.

After an early breakfast, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading into the forest for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale Forest is known for having one of the highest concentrations of primates in Africa, including chimpanzees, red-tailed monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. The tracking experience typically lasts 2 to 4 hours, offering an exciting encounter with our closest relatives in their natural habitat. After the trek and lunch, we will drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most biodiverse park, known for its stunning scenery and rich wildlife. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive and relax for the night

Your day begins with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly a leopard. The cooler morning hours offer the best chance of spotting predators in action. After a leisurely lunch at the lodge, we’ll head to the Mweya Peninsula for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This natural waterway that links Lake Edward and Lake George is famous for its high concentration of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and hundreds of bird species. The cruise offers an excellent photographic opportunity and a peaceful way to experience wildlife

We will depart early in the morning for a drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, which takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. As you journey from Queen Elizabeth to Bwindi, you will notice a dramatic change in the landscape. The drive begins through rolling hills and open savannas, gradually transitioning into more rugged terrain. You will ascend through the lush, terraced farmlands of southwestern Uganda, with panoramic views of verdant valleys and mountainous landscapes. As you approach Bwindi, the terrain becomes increasingly hilly and forested, leading to the thick, mist-covered rainforests that define Bwindi. This transition highlights Uganda’s diverse geography and sets the stage for the rich biodiversity awaiting you in the impenetrable forest.

At 7 AM, we will gather at the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking, where you'll be divided into groups of 8 and assigned to different gorilla families. You will then begin the trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, with park guides leading the way.

The trek through the forest is an adventurous and immersive experience. Expect to navigate through dense vegetation, muddy trails, and steep slopes. The rainforest is alive with sounds of chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the occasional sight of smaller wildlife. As you trek, you may encounter other animals and unique plant species, making the journey itself a remarkable experience.

Once you locate your assigned gorilla family, you will get to spend up to an hour observing these majestic giants in their natural habitat. The trek typically lasts 5-6 hours, depending on the distance to the gorilla family. After descending the hills, if you're interested, you can enjoy a community walk to visit the Batwa people, explore local coffee plantations, see local banana brewery and even traditional healers of the forest, offering a deeper connection to the local culture and lifestyle

After breakfast transfer back to Kisoro Airstrip for a scheduled flight back to Entebbe and connect on your outbound flight (Flight is scheduled to depart Kisoro Airstrip at 08:35Hrs and arrive Entebbe at 11:25 hours). Depending on your outbound flight details you can opt for a day room use/ night in Entebbe
